It started with curiosity. Quiet room, full attention. People trying to understand something they’ve only ever read about.
CaptainHashrate didn’t talk down or gloss over details, he properly walked us through it with the calm of someone who really knows his craft...
...then the miners turned on.
And what to say, there’s something different about learning when the miner’s right there, running in front of you.

What a night! 😍 Our #BitcoinMining-focused #BITDEVS yesterday went exceptionally well with so many new faces with us. From mining basics and setups to deep dives into technical wizardry covering stuff like constituents of a block, the probabilities involved in solo and pooled mining, Stratum V1 & V2 and more!
All in all, it was a night full of learning and fun 🧡

We kicked things off with @`Raj ⚡🌋 / @RajarshiMaitra (RSS Feed)` welcoming a bunch of new faces and passionately sharing with the people the vision and mission of @`bitshala`! He shared more about what we're up to with #Bitspace and our Fellowship program, and how devs can dive into Bitcoin Development with us! 🚀
And then followed @`Plebs Together Strong`! A massive shoutout to them for dropping by to share their exciting plans for #Bitcoin Education for the Indian masses! 🧡 Along with the plebs, even the new people were super thrilled to hear about what they've been doing in #Goa 🤩
They’ve got some big moves coming 🚀, stay tuned!
Next up, we had @`Nihal` and Ayush Surana take the stage to break down the basics of #Bitcoin mining. ⚒️ From why mining matters to how it all works with some really cool examples about setups and stuffs, they made it easy to understand and super intriguing.
And then came in the technical wizards: Shreyan, Bala, and Bitaloo. 🤩 They went full geek mode with a deep dive into #Bitcoin mining tech covering all sorts of stuff like the constituents of a block, how a block template is built and mined, the probabilities involved in solo and pooled mining, why it makes sense to mine in a pool, how pools measure a miner's contribution to the pool, different pay-out schemes used by pools, the evolution of pooled mining protocol, the features and issues associated with protocols - getwork, getblocktemplate, Stratum V1 and Stratum V2.
And then we dispersed to have snacks, chat with each other and talk more #Bitcoin
And yes, once again, a huge thanks to all these awesome folks who showed up 🙌 and made it a night to remember!
