Welcome Rudy (((Havenstein)))

Rudolf Havenstein (10 March 1857 – 20 November 1923) was a (((German))) lawyer and president of the Reichsbank (((German central bank))) during the hyperinflation of 1921-1923. He was born in Meseritz, Province of Posen, and came from a family of government officials.

Reichsbank President

As president of the Reichsbank, Havenstein played a significant role in the German economy, particularly during the hyperinflation period. His leadership and decisions had a profound impact on the country’s financial situation.

Hyperinflation and Legacy

Havenstein’s tenure as Reichsbank President coincided with the hyperinflationary period in Germany, which lasted from 1921 to 1923. During this time, the German economy experienced extreme inflation, with prices rising exponentially. Havenstein’s policies, which focused on printing more money to sustain the economy, ultimately exacerbated the inflationary crisis.

Many still don't like for example most clients leak the DMs of who is talking to who you can check it on nostrudel.ninja.

But it's improving clients like amethyst and 0xchat have wrapped gift messages that solve this issue but it should be the standard.

Amethyst have tor connection and primal have a cache service to hide the ip all other clients doesn't so the realys can still make a log of the ips so a vpn is highly recommended.

Lightning tips can be traced back to the custodian and be requested data from authorities if needed, so choosing a ecash address would be better for privacy or even better using Garnet a fork of Amethyst that have Monero tips.

Primal has Trending and Amethyst gets through DVMs but only snort.social/search have the Trending on the language you choose.

🌽💬 CORNY CHAT UPDATE 🚨🧑‍💻

This is a mid-month update for Corny Chat, an open source audio space built on Jam that integrates Nostr and Lightning.

Zap Goal Fund Raising is now available!

Room owners can now create a zap goal in the Basic Settings for the room. If you have an existing zap goal they have made elsewhere, you can attach it. This also permits you to attach the same goal to multiple rooms. Zaps reference the owner id (pubkey/npub) that set the goal, but are sent to the lightning address defined for the room (changeable by any owner of a room).

When a zap goal is present for a room, it is depicted as a progress meter at the top of the room. Every 2 minutes checks are performed to update the progress based on zap receipts. Participants of the room can click on the zap goal to make a lightning transfer. Any value 4 value auto-tipping that users have setup will target the zap goal.

This is the first iteration of zap goals for Corny Chat to further empower room owners. Please feel free to provide comments, questions or other feedback to help improve this or an other feature.

Room Header & Description

The room header has been revamped to make better use of the screen space on mobile. Indicators have been added denoting if the room is currently announcing a live activity for nostr. The description of the room, available by tapping on the header, now provides a summary of the room settings. Previously, this information was not visually shown to non room moderators/owners anywhere. It includes whether the room is public or private, requires a passphrase, if its a stage only room, supports recordings, or is a live activity.

The Celtic Carnyx is an ancient war trumpet used by the Celts from around 200 BC to 200 AD.

An instrument of psychological warfare; its loud and eerie sound was designed to intimidate enemies on the battlefield.

The Roman army feared it.
