Yeah, you could say I lived through this "hard way". But the problem with the fiat world is that either you both have to be dumb enough, or you get to choose only between nothing and only bad options. And nothing is not always the better choice.

I am all in bitcoin anyway, so it is easy for me to speak, but... Having earned well from inscriptions, miners will have less urge to raise prices of btc that they will sell after April, won't they? So maybe, btc prices will stay relatively low for a bit longer. For me, no problem to keep stacking for one more year.
