Selection pressure predominantly comes from the female. Females "look pregnant" e.g. boobs (name another animal that has boobs while not pregnant!) Men in turn find boobs appealing. I switched a few years ago. Never looked back. Get a good pixel though. I cheaped out and regret that.
I don't think it does, frankly. In a universe with humans in it, scammers, parasites, maladjusted or sociopathic people will always exist. You can't have humanity without them. The ebb and flow of attack and defence between private citizens and those who would look to dominate them in turn will continue. Bitcoin is the biggest fucking shield we've ever had. But bigger sticks are getting built as we speak.
