likes are still valid as you are socially linking yourself to something, you are trading reputation

much of nostr dev has been occuring within nostr, its actually more effective to talk here than github as all the interested parties are here and not on github

github has been causing some issues with the more fringe coding

it has been discussed to make a github replacement and #[6] has generously upt a large bounty, clearly because he also recognizes the potential problem with github but also the massive potential for nostr to expand into so many areas

the thing you linked me has a lot of wasted space on mobile

i only suggested fork iris to increase the work effort, if alex can do better solo go for it but we have like 50 devs all making their own twitter retakes its not really optimal, we need better chat and reddit style, one app could actually do them all with view modes, like i would love to view these thread chats as a normal chat view irc, matrix etc

user reacts could work for rep too, degrees is separation is working

no you actually use selected other users lists for follow and block, so any changes they make update your feed

we will obviously need ways to counter some differences like my follow overides your block etc and ways to audit whats being blocked, like view all blocked or view blocked as minimized etc, i think seeing blocks interacting in threads would be a good indicator they probably shouldnt be blocked because real people have proper discussion

i am actually thinking user reacts might be a better way of curation, ie we label bots bots and spammers etc

the nostr way is just try stuff

i think we need to give more filtering options in general to see what works

posts and 'posts and replies' should be toggles so you can switch between posts, replies and posts and replies

i say that because viewing replies only is good for finding bots

idea toggle to filter follows out from global so to make finding new people easier

nothing wrong with using twitter just use here too and get more people here
