So I ran down to the end of the street where it meets the main road and posted up with my tripod minutes before clouds completely obscured the moon.
Walker get moon picture. Carla see moon picture. Carla happy. Walker happy because Carla happy. Life good.

For now this 320x240 ili9341 is the sweet spot. Bigger, much easier to read, smooth framerate, and I've already adapted the code to handle the 3:2 aspect ratio.
The tiny Waveshare display hat has served us well, but a new wave of better, cooler build possibilities will be on the horizon!
