A study group for everything Mises, Rothbard and Hoppe have written on the subject would be great
Missed the whole game but just watched the last 10 mins clip on YouTube rn.
Like how does a team that defends so well lose a 9 point lead in the last 3 mins. This is crazy.
Oh yeah that'd be awesome!
I think OKC wins this series?
Probably!
Heard a talk given by author Edward Griffin about the book, which was good!
I love this one though:
Yeah actively doing that is abnormal and unusual.
Certainly establishes a strong precedent for the US.
For other countries though, goodness me Bitcoin is MASSIVE.
Its ends central banking over time by simply existing on the market. No legislation, riots, lobbying, voting, campaigning or theorizing needed.
It's like the indomitable forces of economic laws making the market correct itself. Magnificent.
Rothbard is my go-to economic historian regarding anything about the US. I agree with his take on Tariffs.
A Murray Rothbard quote that is incredibly relevant to Bitcoin and Nostr:
'There have been glorious exceptions, however, particularly in the history of Western civilization, where intellectuals have often been trenchant critics and opponents of State power, and have used their intellectual gifts to fashion theoretical systems which could be used in the struggle for liberation from that power. But invariably, these intellectuals have only been able to arise as a significant force when they have been able to operate from an independent power base - an independent property base - separate from the apparatus of the State. For wherever the State controls all property, wealth, and employment, everyone is economically dependent on it, and it becomes difficult, if not impossible, for such independent criticism to arise. It has been in the West, with its decentralized foci of power, its independent sources of property and employment, and therefore of bases from which to criticize the State, where a body of intellectual critics has been able to flourish.'
Would appreciate being fact-checked on this:
The US is the only country in its history to have abolished a central bank more than once.
Now that's something.

Coincidence? 🧐
Hahaha maybe

The anti-capitalist mentality:
Buying things is irrational
Selling things is deception
Advertising is manipulation
Profit is exploitation
Saving is miserly
Storage is hoarding
Saving is selfish
Investment is gambling
Interest is evil
Property is theft
Contract is slavery
Wealth is immoral
No thanks.
YouTube's awesome if you know what you want to watch already
If your friends that hate the government jumped off a cliff, would you do it too?

That posture is hilarious 😂
Goodness this is something I have no clue about :(
Always something new to learn.
Thanks for sharing!
we need something better, nostr:npub149p5act9a5qm9p47elp8w8h3wpwn2d7s2xecw2ygnrxqp4wgsklq9g722q has some great ideas
Haven't tried Zapchat yet.
Will look into it!
But the dream of course would be to have an interoperable way to send and receive messages accross clients without compromising on privacy and security.
MLS, Signal protocol, etc. are great but I don't think you can use them across multiple clients.
