Supporting a decentralised future of sound money and technology. Study Bitcoin. Run a node! ITM!

Sorry to hear. Are you still working through it?

I have also had lightning node blow up on me (Brand new SSD blew up). I had my lightning channel backup so it was easy to close everything and start again (Thanks MyNode for making that even easier than normal!). If you have the wallet keys and backup file, you can recover fairly easy. If not, you talk to your lightning peers you can get them to close the channels and the funds should return to the wallet eventually.

I still have one old Zeus wallet beta channel where the funds ($50) are stuck in some sort of limbo and I still can't figure out the command line mess to get it back. (no channel backup because it's not self-hosted) Hoping someone makes some easier tools that don't requiring guessing at what commands are needed...

Just gotta use it more and that will get less nerve-wracking. Knowledge is power. To many use it for savings, but don't learn.

Someone's just going to start a new game, so it needs to be destroyed. πŸ€”

Merry Christmas ✨

Just bankers doing banker things. Print together so they don't blow each other up.

My fed contact said I should sign up for the fediverse and I would be contacted for my next assignment. Somehow, ended up here. I'm now certain that I'm in the wrong place. So far I've only been contacted about how my trades are going and been included in a hell thread.

Noctua fans are so well designed. They're quieter and they push more air. πŸ‘

Are you ready? https://v.nostr.build/zN2mvFbQCFeeYnAa.mp4 (stolen from some other site)

Wow, what a train wreck. Bitcoin being for enemies is a fairness statement, not a hate statement. He's a bit of a doomer.

Adam makes good videos. I don't think he's on Nostr. :(

Love to see bitcoiners winning and watching the legacy finance shills tying themselves in knots to try and say it's all a lie. The old adage of "what you say I am, is what you are" rings true.

Did you mod your Smartthings hub? I've been looking at moving to Home Assistant lately...

Recently had the ActionTiles service I use for a tablet disappear overnight. All services and forums went down with no notice.

I knew long before and used them occasionally to get webpages as an "app" via the browser. If I was going to build a website it makes sense, as long aa you design your page for mobile viewing... One of the services we use for work relies on PWA as the only way to get it on your phone, has been like that for ~8+ years.

Makes me think of other under-utilized things... My personal website was WAP enabled back in the early days of mobile internet. πŸ˜†

Good show. Have not read the books.

My favorite climate alarmist obliteration update. Lots of great information and dry humour. #V4V #climate #Canada

Holy, the mesh networking stuff just keeps getting better and better! Gotta check more of this out. This allows for full data, voice and even video transmission.

Please contribute missing data to OSM (Open Street Maps https://www.openstreetmap.org)! There are a lot of businesses and data that could be updated or added. With Square pushing for bitcoin payments for merchants, we need lots of people helping in this way to make the open source maps better for their specific areas.

Adding your data will help nostr:npub1864jglrrhv6alguwql9pqtmd5296nww5dpcewapmmcazk8vq4mks0tt2tq and countless other projects out as they use Open Street Maps.

Oh, stupid me. I was off on the map to the left... so silly.

To load the wallet? Are you on Tor? Find a way to setup clearnet on a VPN. Lightning fast then.

CoMaps and many other projects just use OSM (Open Street Maps) for the maps. So it wouldn't be hard to make an wrapper interface and tie in Nostr if you know what you're doing.

OSM is usually updated by the users, so It's up to people to put the information in to the map. The editor is pretty easy to use, just have to make sure you follow the rules so the information is standardized.

I use to do a lot of Google Map editing, but they basically told all the editors to take a hike. Working on getting more things updated on OSM.

A group is made up of individuals. If the majority decide they don't want out of scope transactions, then the majority of the spam will have a lot harder time existing. Making it easier (increasing allowed size and removing basic filters) is the other side of the equation. No thanks.

So you're going to volunteer to pay higher fees so that CP doesn't get into the next block and do this every block? That's insane. You're going to get outbid by trolls willing to go the extra mile. Those who want to destroy something will put a lot of effort into do it... especially if they have a money printer behind them and it costs them nothing.

Seems most of them are from filter.nostr.wine which is a relay I'm connected to and pay for... why would individuals be added when I follow the relay?

Yes Amethyst. Ok, so it is what I suspected, so its dynamic at least? Will they remove themselves or will the list just keep growing?

I missed a LOT this week.

Good morning Nostr and #blockparty hashers! β˜€οΈ

There was the first mass #zapathon test of lighting network to see if thousands of zaps could happen without issue. No idea what the finial tally was on that, but it was cool and it worked.
