I wouldn't say to stop ppl, so this is kinda cheating. I would say:

As I’m on the mission to post at least a couple dozen cocktail recipes on https://nostr.cooking/ and these posts are categorized as long-form, I’m starting to feel we really need to implement some kind of compartmentalization for Nostr-native blogging platforms on the protocol level. Otherwise everyones’ blogs will inevitably turn into “post salads” where we’ll have technical articles mixed with hobby notes and food recipes.

Would lists created by authors and corresponding tabs in the clients fix this, or is there a better approach? 🤔

Right; I tend to think there are existing systems like communities, relays, tags, lists, and feeds that can help address this.

It feels like a lot of those have more potential than we see being used today, but it's hard to see how they'll all fit together.

I think implementing a recommended feed will help bring out those capabilities in habla in particular.

Well said, nostr:npub107jk7htfv243u0x5ynn43scq9wrxtaasmrwwa8lfu2ydwag6cx2quqncxg. Exciting for what's ahead for habla!

Making feeds based off of relays and/or communities?

There's likely a trade-off with how complex a page like this could get, but those are 2 other possibilities.

Really appreciate the ability to post long-form content directly to communities in Habla.news.

nostr:npub107jk7htfv243u0x5ynn43scq9wrxtaasmrwwa8lfu2ydwag6cx2quqncxg is it feasible to make this a multiselect and publish to multiple communities at once

## Nostree release note

#### v.0.1.2 "Slug me baby"

https://nostree.me

The new version of nostree (v0.1.2) is loaded with new features, I will try to summarise them all in a nice release note.

The

main changes are list slugs, unique identifiers, docs, more

shareability, the change of kind for lists, and many ux improvements.

This opens up a lot of new possibilities for your lists.

I'm

going to be unpacking this little by little, but before starting I would

like to share the brand new project page on geyser.fund, where you can

help the project to grow, and get candies👀, nostr:nprofile1qqstdhxam7rxw5586xjwscsdj24fqhp93kzsh7xvjg7nnhc7mlh9aecprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvqyxhwumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmvqyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfskueq4jjp6r its

awesome

https://geyser.fund/project/nostree

### Let's start

-Slugs:

I find this new feature for nostree very exciting, with it you can use

slugs to identify your lists, this results in very friendly urls, like

for example https://nostree.me/gzuuus@nostree.me/projects , or

https://nostree.me/gzuuus@nostree.me/nostr

Another feature of using

slugs is that you can group several lists together using the same slug

in both lists. For example if you check this link (

nostree.me/gzuuus@nostree.me/nostr ) you will see that there are two

lists, 'Learn nostr', and 'Favorite nostr clients', this is because

these two lists share the same slug, 'nostr'. From my point of view this

brings some very interesting use cases. nostr:nprofile1qqs87hptfey2p607ef36g6cnekuzfz05qgpe34s2ypc2j6x24qvdwhgpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgqgswaehxw309ahx7um5wgh8w6twv5q3samnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarjv96xjtnrdaksupau3d looking at you

💡You can change the slug of your lists at any time.

-Unique

ids/naddr links: These are unique urls for your lists, they use nostr

standards (nip19) to work, and compared to slugs they will always point

to a unique list. The use case is simple, you want to share a specific

list, without worrying about matching slugs, or changing the slug for

that list in the future. The urls for these lists are not so friendly,

but in return it will be the unique identifier for your list. For

example:

https://nostree.me/a/naddr1qqkxummnw3ex2efdve3kzetr8qurvttzvcuxvtf5vd3n2tfc8q6rytf4x9jkvetx89skgvfcx5pzqs9eep0ll6hurjkl3sc2fewgses07mjfwxsdcu3at2m8fd0xrdz3qvzqqqr4xy4negad

-More

shareability: Now automatically if your nostr address/nip05 is valid it

will be used in the url, instead of your npub. Also when sharing links

of your page.

-Docs: new docs page to help with questions about

using nostree ( https://nostree.me/docs ) At the moment the docs page

has some sections that I think are the most common questions that may

arise when using nostree. Of course I will be expanding this section, I

welcome any feedback to add more docs.

I've built this docs section

to be modular and to show hints in different parts of the interface, so

if in any section you find an info icon ℹ️ you can click on it to get

help on that specific topic.

-New kind for lists, from now on all

lists will be created with kind30001, so we get more interoperability

with all the protocol.

-Interface improvements: In this version,

several interface improvements have been included to make nostree easier

and more intuitive to use. Among the most notable are the sharing

drawer, which you can find in each list and use to share your list, both

from the slug and the naddr link.

Also the addition of buttons with

info icons to receive hints and tips that can be found in various places

in the interface and will give you useful information.

Another is the addition of an ostrich icon for links prefixed with 'nostr:' to open directly in native clients.

💡Whenever you find the ostrich icon it means that you can open the link in a native client.

Also note that if you have lists in the old format you can always migrate them to the new format from the 'manage list' page.

Finally thanks to nostr:nprofile1qqs2js6wu9j76qdjs6lvlsnhrmchqhf4xlg9rvu89zyf3nqq6hygt0spr9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezu7n9vfjkget99e3kcmm4vsq3camnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wvf5hgcm0d9hx2u3wwdhkx6tpdsqs6amnwvaz7tmwdaejumr0dsjkyv6k for the design proposals, and feedback, and to all of you who have been contributing with zaps, feedback, ideas and so on.

I

think that's all, I hope you enjoy this new release of nostree, if you

liked it please consider skipping this note or go to the geyser.fund

project page, https://geyser.fund/project/nostree

Other ways to help

the project grow is to contribute ideas, feedback, prs to the

repository. Please feel free to share your ideas

nostr:nprofile1qqszak7w562dzerznp222fvrgk8adkt9k9s783yt2lf6luqegp2c3pqprpmhxue69uhkc6t8dp6xu6twvaex2mrp0yhxxmmdqywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wsq3gamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwv3sk6atn9e5k720h2mn

Really amazing work, g & team! I feel like this is a product that can really convert ppl to Nostr. Very exciting!

In addition to these node based ones, I've also seen some clients use some that look like servers.

The node look is cool, but maybe not quite accurate for how relays actually function?

Nostree

https://nostree.me

v0.1.0 'Hello brave new world'

A nostr based application to create and manage link lists, show notes, and other stuff

Nostree is a linktree style client a la nostr that allows you to create, and manage lists of links that you can share with anyone. You can create as many lists as you like and they will be displayed in your profile (you can also edit or even delete the lists)

Nostree also shows your latest notes and articles, the idea is that it becomes a good presentation card for you on nostr.

For example:

https://nostree.me/npub1gzuushllat7pet0ccv9yuhygvc8ldeyhrgxuwg744dn5khnpk3gs3ea5ds

At the moment nostree is live and you can explore it fully, hope to see everyone creating your own lists soon💜

You can also check the explore section to see the latest published lists.

https://nostree.me/explore

Thanks to everyone who has been involved in this development, nostr:npub15ay6mqkkq9f298ejsu4erc8ddk0zqpkhxjlhjjpttlayl6pz34ms7tsq7v for a great zap that allowed me to buy the domain and encouraged me to keep developing.

To those who have tested and given me feedback nostr:npub10awzknjg5r5lajnr53438ndcyjylgqsrnrtq5grs495v42qc6awsj45ys7, nostr:npub1xk50nsp89sge5cs0glq9tjxm885lsp077xez6zm6g2ccjdga4enqnkmr0f, nostr:npub1k9luehc8hg3c0upckdzzvusv66x3zt0eyw7290kclrpsndepz92sfcpp63 and the others who have already tested nostree. Much appreciated💜

Hope you like the project and if you want to see it grow please consider zapping me, giving me feedback or collaborating, the project is open to new ideas :)

There are more features coming, like customising the theme and display elements for your profile page, nostr address urls (nip05), better discoverability for profiles and lists, and more...

This is the first version, so there may be some bugs (give me feedback on them)

Awesome work G! 🎉 The explore page is a great addition.

😅 thx; was working on the relay options on publish flow and wanted to see the current state.

New Nostr browser demo!

Today I'd like to show you how we plan to handle app permissions for key access (with nip-89), and also workspaces for different keys - you'll be able to customize your nostr browsing experience and switch between workspaces quickly.

https://void.cat/BCGjvPTxNU5eNnC9p6gMx2

The big question we have now is whether we should go with web browser model - "many tabs/instances per app" versus mobile OS model "one app instance only". It seems like "one instance" model is simpler and better fits the constraints of a mobile device, but then we still want to let you browse any web page using the nostr browser... Let me know if you have feedback here.

Also, this demo contains a peek at the great UI designs kindly provided by nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9ac - thank you man, your contribution to Nostr success is growing by the day!

if you somehow didn't have enough reasons to zap nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9ac, now you definitely should!

Looks awesome!
