Sometimes, they even say striking hospitals with bunker-busting munition isn't a legitimate method of warfare. Or that Prigozhin wasn't a philanthropist! Can you believe it?! How dare they!!!

Yep, and that helps Mastodon't attract spam bots.

How do you even survive in this Bitcoin jungle? Decentralised social media might not be such a big deal in the end if everyone only ever talks about crypto currencies and the blockchain, instead of having meaningful discussions.

Judging by the posts in the public timeline, the whole point of Nostr is nothing but talking about Bitcoin, Bitcoin and Bitcoin. Oh, and Bitcoin, obviously. Not to forget other topics like Bitcoin or Bitcoin as well as a little bit of Bitcoin, in addition to Bitcoin. Did I mention Bitcoin? Bitcoin.

I was hoping to see a diverse community with the widest range of interests over here, but I was disappointed. Nostr is really not ready for the masses. Which is somewhat sad, because it looked promising. Hopefully it will change, but I fear not.

Amethyst because of its great UI. The UX isn't too great, though. Flickers and freezes too often.

If you've got a Samsung phone, you should probably disable Wi-Fi calling and Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) immediately!

Any attacker may remotely execute code on your device, which requires nothing but knowing your phone number.

The implementation of the private-key-based system seems flawed. Like, accidentally share your secret key, and your entire profile is doomed. I don't understand why there's no password protection for the private key unlike with PGP keys, for example.

I've watched the first episode, and it's utter nonsense. For example, some “hobby photographer” with no further qualification has “identified” “debris” “of the Boeing” on satellite imagery, claiming that MH370 had crashed into the Indian Ocean, contrary to satellite communication data providing unequivocal evidence of the opposite.

She even placed blueprints of the plane on top of the photographs, implying the debris would casually float on the water exactly in the shape of the intact aircraft...

There are many more errors in the documentary: https://www.airlineratings.com/news/ten-major-errors-in-netflix-mh370-documentary/

But what even is a zap though? I'm new to Nostr and haven't found explanations of all features yet 🧐
