#Pianos, #Bitcoin only, traveling through space and time on a sound wave

Just imagine the steak you could cook on there

I saw a tricky spinet yesterday that said Chickering on it but was really made by Wurlitzer. It’s called a stencil piano and they are used to gaslight the general public into thinking they bought one piano, but really, they bought a different piano of much lower quality.

“Pianos and Their Makers” by Alfred Dolge is interesting. Written in 1911

Based on your post from yesterday, I think you may need to visit a Rockler store.

If that’s just for your teeth, I’d hate to see how long it’s been since your last piano tuning.

This happens to me a lot. I blame it on not enough RAM. It usually comes back after rebooting. Sometimes it just needs time and it will work again later.

I just went out to get my first Ethernet splitter box.

I currently have more computers in my home than I have ever had before in my life.

All thanks to this crazy #bitcoin thing.

Bonsai trees and trees in general

It’s ~4.21 years until #bitcoin block 1,000,000.

My first Bitcoin node of 4G RAM and an external HDD took almost 3 months to sync. My second node of 10G RAM and an internal SSD is at 55% in 24 hours. The difference in speed is staggering.

"HMD’s latest Nokia phone is designed to be repaired in minutes"

Right to repair is becoming a huge deal. Besides what the electronic wastes do to our environment, the life cycle of our phone/laptop is getting longer and longer due to the technological stagnation.

It's awesome that Nokia collaborate with iFixit for the parts and repairment tools. What I love to see about is they will unlock the bootloader when the official cycle ends. A sustainable product life cycle would be great, recyclable design, and a fully functionable/profitable recycle factory.

I am certainly tired of all the planned obsolescence. Products only lasting as long as the warranty. I am grateful I can still get parts to fix 100+ year old pianos. If not, I can always make new ones.

Giving up on wsl. Trying virtualbox for an Umbrel node.

Crazy this came out over 20 years ago and is still more advanced than our energy solutions today.
