I saw a tricky spinet yesterday that said Chickering on it but was really made by Wurlitzer. It’s called a stencil piano and they are used to gaslight the general public into thinking they bought one piano, but really, they bought a different piano of much lower quality.

This happens to me a lot. I blame it on not enough RAM. It usually comes back after rebooting. Sometimes it just needs time and it will work again later.

My first Bitcoin node of 4G RAM and an external HDD took almost 3 months to sync. My second node of 10G RAM and an internal SSD is at 55% in 24 hours. The difference in speed is staggering.
I am certainly tired of all the planned obsolescence. Products only lasting as long as the warranty. I am grateful I can still get parts to fix 100+ year old pianos. If not, I can always make new ones.
