The journey down the rabbit hole to understand Bitcoin creates a cognitive dissonance in our minds where our former beliefs are challenged and disrupted.

A mental discomfort is created by trying to hold onto contradictory beliefs - (ie - Free market is deflationary + inflation is required to allow society to function) and then trying to rationalize previous beliefs.

That’s why it’s so hard for “experts” or those successful in the old system to see it.

But it’s not negotiating with them - it is imposing reality on them.

Also trust in the system. I work with a lot of smart people—in the IQ sense. But most or all of them are highly educated (many PhDs).

The system has been good to them. Trusting it has paid off. And so, when the system tells them that inflation is good, they believe it. When the system tells them that #Bitcoin is only for criminals, they believe it.

Why think for yourself when someone pays you handsomely not to?

What's the two fundamental ideas of economics you mention? That deflation is the natural state of the free market, and the other thing is trade related.

Wish I could in a sense, I have a family of six how much do you think rent would be for a family that size? I assure you I pay much less with my mortgage monthly. Anyway Need the house and some sort of normalcy for the kids development. Otherwise I completely would sell everything buy bitcoin go off grid in an RV.

Didn't Bukele's advisors have the same argument when he wanted to dismantle the gangs overnight ?

That they were worried about the economy and how big a part the gangs played in it.

What happened instead was people were freed to live their life and the economy flourished.

If you match the headcount reduction with removing regulatory friction, maybe the US gets a similar boom.

Seems ironic that the path to abundance is absolute scarcity.

Few understand that in order to counter inflation, you have to increase the money supply, otherwise a deflationary bust and everything collapses! The only question is who get the money from the increase of the money supply! Bitcoin is the only hope and only path forward, it is inevitable! Why we do not know is how fast will it take to get there! It will be messy on the way there for sure! Bitcoin is my shield 🛡️
