The Somali childcare scam is a PsyOp. It's a misdirection to direct your anger at the wrong thing, the wrong people.
Go deeper. Think about where that ire should be directed. Follow the money and incentives. Who set up the system and who is the ultimate beneficiary? Who gains more power and control from it?
Pull your attention and time away from these thieves and looters. Politicians don't deserve either. Let them whither on the vine. Opt out by storing your time and energy outside of their control. #bitcoin
Did you know you can #3Dprint furniture?
This fun project was in response to the wife wanting a riser for plants. It took nearly 10 hours and made for a great time lapse!
It's all one piece and printed with PLA. And it's surprisingly strong. I don't know that I'd use it as a step stool, but great for kids... and plants.
Happy New Year! 2026 LFG!

Viva le Revolution!
We agree then. =)
Although I don't think it would take many to have the desired effect' Even if a few thousand vocally said 'fuck it' and stopped paying there's not much they can do.
What will they do? Prosecute 1000s in the legal system and lock 'em up? I don't think so. Their system would grind to a halt.
And if 1000s are doing it vocally, 10s of 1000s more will follow. Nobody wants to be extorted. The dam would break.
I think you're wrong on this one. They live hand-to-mouth. The debt increases by the minute. And if enough people start staging a tax revolt, they will act quickly to squash it. This is a very slippery slope. But if enough people feel empowered enough to stop paying taxes, there's nothing they can do. Maybe they'll start printing more, but that just plays into our hand.
I find that if you analyze any political problem from the point of view of incentives, everything becomes much simpler. It's similar to the old adage, 'follow the money' but even more basic than that. I see a lot of calls to deport the Somalians, but that doesn't actually fix the problem now, does it? Someone else will simply step in and use the same system.
They're all just following the system set out for them. The only real solution is to fix the incentives. And the only way to do that, short of violence, is to fix the money. #bitcoin
Hey, when the merch is good, you gotta drop some sats to support the cause!
Love the mug! Where's it from?
No, that was my misconception too. The tapsigner holds your private keys. So it's cold storage in a way. To sign on-chain transactions you tap the card to your phone and the signing happens via NFC. I keep my Tapsigner with me, so that wallet holds an intermediate amount of funds. I can author a transaction to my Phoenix wallet and tap to send, for example.
I really enjoy my bitcoin wallet setup. Each person has a different set of needs and what works for one may not work for another. I think of mine a stack; starting from the most secure and cold to the most hot:
🔒🔒🔒🔒 Multisig vault ❄️
🔒🔒🔒 Seedsigner singlesig ❄️
🔒🔒 Nunchuk singlesig, secured by a Tapsigner
🔒 Phoenix lightning
Coinos custodial
The multisig vault is collaborative custody. You might be able to guess the institution. This is here for inheritance purposes and to make it easier for my family in case of my demise or incapacitation. I feel very confident in the security model.
My Seedsigner (I love their approach!) is for my non-KYC funds and is the next layer down. Completely cold storage.
Nunchuk + tapsigner might be my favorite part of the stack. Having a physical device to secure bitcoin while enjoying convenience of just tapping an NFC card to the phone to spend is a great UX. I consider this to be my hot on-chain wallet to spend and convert to lightning as needed.
Phoenix is a great lightning wallet. Although I don't love their fees, their UI/UX makes up for it. I'm always looking for a better solution for this part of my stack, but Phoenix is pretty hard to beat.
I don't understand how Coinos makes money. They run a great on-chain and lightning service with low fees. Since it's custodial, I minimize its use, but it has NWC built-in so it works great with nostr. I consider it to be my hottest wallet and don't keep a lot of funds here, but you can't beat the convenience! Use as a PWA but with full app features.
I'm happy to discuss! Tell me what I'm doing wrong!
And therein is one of the main problems with politics.
So many of the narratives on Bitcoin X are obviously bullshit. That place is derranged.
This is disgusting.
Orwell is turning is his grave.
Fuck tyrants.
Interesting. Time for an incandescent black market on nostr?
Confession time:
I've never had a McRib. Green candles aside, should I?
Creatine!
Now this is dope!

Brilliant. I really want to know how to do this!
You're completely right.
But if states were free to peel off the union they could establish their own laws and form of governance. I want to see this choice. Let the lefties have their socialist utopia and I'll choose an area with the best property rights and minimal governance.
Perhaps my state only lets property holders vote. Or has very strong immigration rules. I don't have all of the answers, but being part of a one-size-fits-all massive union isn't working. Let's spin up smaller "laboratories of democracy." Although, not democracy per se, of course!
There's truth to this. These institutions have been slowly poisoning our society. Removing them may not magically fix everything, but it can't hurt. Remove the poison and the patient begins to recover.
Elizabeth Warren pressed Trump Fed nominee Stephen Miran to say “Donald Trump lost the election.”
Miran refused, repeating: “Congress certified Joe Biden as president.”

I just got a new phone. I wasn't seeing anything within nostr:nprofile1qqsx2wyjt6lmvc05rrvv05r5hm3w3t7h0pcpmkyswrpd4ymd2u09tscpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctv9uqkvamnwvaz7tmxd9k8getj9ehx7um5wgh8w6twv5hkuur4vgchvdt4veuksdrvddjhxmr80puxxcmvvuuxvvrg0fsh56rpwumhyumjdpmxvut40pax6vnxdvmrgcehxf58que5x4hrqa348a38ymmpv33kzum58468yat9qywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytfsxyhxymmvwshx7cnnv4e8vetj9udmam06 to export settings from my old phone, so I was a bit disappointed.
After installing Fountain on the new one, I used Amber to login. Immediately, all of my settings were restored, down to the podcast I currently had paused.
Absolutely incredible, Nostr + Fountain and all without a traditional-style account. It's magic.
Bravo, Fountain!
Backups? Hmm.. No, haven't set anything up yet. Any suggestions?

Musk & Trump are literally dismantling their religion: The Church of The State
Of course they're scared and pissed.
I'm really confused, as I see it there.

Under releases, assets. Each release has it listed. That link is specifically for the most recent release. I'm also able to get them on Obtainium.
Either way, thanks for trying. ✌️
It's also because many of us are already above the fray. I'm having an ongoing discussion with my cousin about politics and for him it always comes back to, 'But Republicans did this...' And my answer is always, 'yeah, and...?' The red vs blue paradigm is so deeply ingrained in folks but once you're out of that psyOp, and can think more freely...
Just decided to switch to a npub.cash lightning address to receive nostr zaps after my lightning channel closed unexpectedly.
It's a cool setup. Custodial, yes, but for zap-sized amounts, who cares? Plus you can pick a vanity username for 5k sats, or use your npub as a free one.
Zap me a test amount, anyone?
I'm headed to Austin this weekend. What do I need to see/eat/do?
Thanks!

I've been saying this for a bit and the reception to the idea of algos is lukewarm at best.
What people don't grok is that it's not the algos that should be vilified, it's lack of options and choice.
As long as you can choose how you want your content given to you and it's done transparently, it's a huge benefit.
With more and more websites blocking VPN IP address I'm finding myself using TOR Browser much more frequently. TOR brings additional anonymity, too, which is a benefit. Youtube is becoming increasingly difficult to use, too and apps like FreeTube and NewPipe are often unusable.
But damn it's obnoxious how surveilled and un-private the web has become.
I'm bullish on where we're headed though! Do you have any work-arounds or anything you're doing to retain as much privacy as possible?
#Privacy #YouTube #VPN #TOR
What makes TikTok such a desirable app and how could nostr replicate the effect?
It's the algorithm! Of course you can't discount its network effect too, but it's that addictive and engaging algo that's the secret sauce.
I'd live to see devs experiment with discovery and reinforcing algos. Of course users need the freedom to turn them off or switch, but having this as an option is key to user retention and growth.
Are any projects doing this?
Mine is a Bambu printer and I found the project on Bambu's community, so it's not my design. I'll happily give a file bit I suspect a quick search will turn up several designs. I used Gold Silk PLA and Black PLA. Let me know if you can't find anything!
