I've already started a few times, but I've always cancelled. It's still too emotional for me at this point.

My father had to join the Wehrmacht at the age of 19, he was later in La Rochelle France as a flag gunner, from 1945 - 1947 he was a prisoner of war in France. The subject of the Second World War was always a point of contention between us. I can still remember that he had tears in his eyes when he saw the pictures of the many corpses in Auschwitz on the television.

Back then, I believed the propaganda about the Nazis more than my father's stories. If I could still talk to him today, our relationship would certainly be different.

Great speech by the actress Tilda Swinton at the Berlinale. Berlin was the perfect place for it!

“State-perpetrated and internationally-enabled mass murder is currently actively terrorising more than one part of our world”

That Black Mirror episode where the military protagonist discovers his brain chip is making him see innocent civilians as zombie savages is basically the story of Israel.

These people are so intensely indoctrinated to believe that every Arab is a dog that must be slaughtered, it's hard to find anything to compare it with.

I've met many Israelis during my travels the last 7 years, and here's the crazy part: In my experience at least, the vast majority of them are VERY friendly and chill. Never had any problem with them personally.

But knowing what I do now about the middle east power dynamics...a lot of the campfire stories they told me about their time in the military over the years are starting to make more sense to me, and not in a good way. All these tall tales of "fighting terrorists"...yeah 😬

I want people to understand this: young Israelis are not intentionally being evil. They believe that everything they and their military is doing is virtuous, as that's what every aspect of their upbringing tells them. These are humans, and they are products of their environment just like the rest of us - it doesn't even register in their brains that any of Israel's actions are wrong, let alone evil or inhumane.

It's really difficult to see a light at the end of this tunnel in terms of turning the mass-brainwashing culture of the country around, but I will cling on to hope that someday it is possible. Likely not in our lifetimes, but someday.

#Bitcoin and the gutting of central bank power, combined with true free speech via #Nostr, can only help move us closer to this reality. This is why I focus so hard on promoting these freedom technologies; I truly believe they are the key to finally putting a halt to the momentum of evil in this world, and flipping the switch toward a future of true enlightenment for all.

I am German, we have been taught all our lives how evil the Nazi regime was and that something like that must never happen again.

Everyone can draw their own conclusions from the fact that here in Germany any criticism of Israel is classed as anti-Semitic and that a scientific reappraisal of the Holocaust is taboo and punishable by law, but the fact that a German government tolerates this genocide against the Palestinian people, and even supports it with arms supplies, is shameful and unforgivable for me!

I've already watched the interview with this scum a few times and wish it was shown on German television at least as often as films about Nazis and concentration camps. Actually, everyone should see it, because most people here still believe that the Palestinians are the bad guys.
