Twitter and Bluesky users seem so much angrier than Nostr users. The stark differences are very apparent. Why? It's because you cannot be angry if you're winning.

On Nostr, we celebrate daily as developers build and enhance the protocol. It's happening, live, right before our very eyes. When developers win, we all win. Winning is infectious and we've all caught it. How could we not? We have dozens of apps and dozens of micro-services that are being updated on a daily basis.

This is what winning feels like and closed platforms just cannot experience the same atmosphere or vibe.

I was talking with my friend about #Mitnick's death (my friend is a sort of hacker too) and he asked an interesting question: Do you know how many honeypot relays are on Nostr? I said I don't know and I don't care because I always use VPN. But he said a lot of people not... 👀 (He said this with an interesting smile, but he didn't want to disclose any more information) Please use a good VPN service, it's not so expensive. 🙏🤙

I thought Covid is not a thing anymore, but two of my colleagues just back from Japan got Covid again.

Parents: Whenever your insightful little ones observe the world out loud, make sure to write it down or save it somewhere. I always kept private Twitter accounts for mine, so they would be chronologically timestamped and they could go back and read and laugh about them when they were older. It became something we did after dinner all the time.

Now that Twitter is effectively dead, I’ve backed them up and I’m just recording them in my notes app. It’s too late for me to make npubs for them, but if your kids are just starting to talk, I highly encourage it.

Yep, these older phones are hard. Amethyst will use over 1GB of ram just for the caching system and up to 200 threads for the multiple observers in the UI. I think these older phones weren't ready for such a massive use of ram+cpu. But maybe it's just that the Jetpack Compose isnt optimized by older processors.

93% of the Twitter experience is blocking ads, bot spam, and people incessently whining about each other. Very low signal-to-noise; maximum fiat.

Nostr is a breath of fresh air (...for now).

I suspect that it would be easier to understand each others' positions if we discussed this face to face, and that if we did that it would be possible that we agreed on more things than what we disagreed on. A lot of communication get's lost in this format, and I don't intend to be disrespectful. Let's just leave it there, ok?
