🔒 Bitcoin Journey Log #3 — Guarding the Keys
The deeper I go into Bitcoin, the more I understand that owning it is easy — but keeping it safe is where the real work begins.
After setting up my cold wallet, I finally grasped how critical those 12 or 24 words really are. They’re not just a backup — they are your Bitcoin. Lose them, and it’s gone forever.
So I’ve started building my own security habits:
📜 Writing the seed phrase by hand (never digital)
🏠Keeping separate copies in safe locations
🔥 Thinking about metal backups in case of fire or damage
It feels a bit like becoming my own bank — equal parts exciting and humbling.
What’s one security tip you wish everyone new to Bitcoin knew?

🛡️ Bitcoin Journey Log #2 — My First Cold Wallet
Today I took a big step: I bought my first cold wallet.
Until now, everything I held was on exchanges — convenient, but risky.
The deeper I go down the rabbit hole, the more I realize that “not your keys, not your coins” isn’t just a slogan — it’s the foundation of Bitcoin sovereignty.
Setting it up felt intimidating at first, but also empowering.
Holding your own keys means taking full responsibility — no customer support, no password reset. Just you and your Bitcoin.
Next up: learning about backup phrases, multisig, and air-gapped security.
What was your first cold-storage experience like? Any tips for a newcomer?

🧠Bitcoin Journey Log #1 — First Steps into the Rabbit Hole
Every day I read something new about Bitcoin, and every time I think I’m starting to get it… I realize there’s so much more to learn.
I’m beginning to see that Bitcoin isn’t just a financial tool — it’s a mindset shift.
It challenges how we think about money, value, and even freedom itself.
Slowly, it’s changing the way I look at the world.
If you’ve been here longer — what was your biggest “aha moment” early on?
