Jesus, Family, Wellness Life’s a Vibe

He did.

He will.

He can.

Welcome to “the Well”

I rarely get hate on my social media.

But when I do I typically look at the profiles posting it and it always makes sense.

It’s clear they aren’t currently building their health,

They clearly aren’t building their families,

And the clearly aren’t building their mental/relational health.

I’ve been there.

It’s actually pretty easy to hate on people building their life when you are not. But when you flip the switch and start building… you begin to encourage everyone else doing the same.

Building is the key. 🔐

Just some of the legends who have made the journey to Tampa Fl for a workout. Who should come next?

My first born is 14 today 😭

Some battles are worth fighting for.

“Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.” Jude 1:3 (ESV)

Not every fight is worth your time. Some arguments drain you. Some conflicts distract you. Some battles only pull you away from what really matters.

But Jude reminds us that there is one fight worth it every single time. The fight for faith.

Faith will always be tested. Culture will push against it. Doubt will try to shake it. Temptation will try to pull you off course. And in those moments, you have a choice. Will you drift with the current, or will you contend for what you know is true?

To contend means to wrestle, to push back, to hold firm. It means not giving up when life presses in. It means choosing God’s truth even when it is not popular. It means protecting your heart, your home, and your community from anything that would erode what God has built.

This is not about fighting people. It is about fighting for your faith. Fighting for hope. Fighting for the future of your family and the testimony of your life.

Some battles are not worth it. This one always is.

Father, give me courage to contend for the faith You have entrusted to me. When I am tempted to give up, strengthen me. When I am pressured to compromise, hold me steady. Help me fight the right battles and protect what matters most. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Gods creation is unreal

Worship and Wellness is the key to a great day.

Your words can build or burn.

“So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!”

James 3:5 (ESV)

It doesn’t take much to change the atmosphere of a room. One word of encouragement can lift someone for the rest of the day. One careless comment can stick with them for years.

James compares the tongue to fire — small but powerful. Fire can warm a home or destroy a city. Words can do the same. They can heal, restore, and strengthen. Or they can wound, divide, and tear down.

The truth is, every conversation you have is shaping something. Your marriage. Your kids. Your friendships. Your workplace. Even your own inner life.

That’s why Scripture says to be quick to listen and slow to speak. Because once words are out, you can’t take them back.

So today, before you speak, ask yourself: Will this build or burn?

Father, forgive me for the careless words I’ve spoken. Help me to use my tongue as a tool for life, not destruction. Let my words bring healing, hope, and strength to the people around me. Teach me to speak with wisdom and restraint. In Jesus’ name, amen.

In my zhappy place

Ran some today, for those who can’t.

A PR for myself 🫶🏽

Contentment grows when you stop chasing more.

“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’”

Hebrews 13:5 (ESV)

There will always be something else to chase. A bigger paycheck. A better house. A newer car. More followers. More influence. More recognition.

But the more you chase, the emptier you feel. Because money can buy comfort, but it can’t buy contentment.

This verse makes it simple. Contentment doesn’t come from what you own. It comes from Who is with you. God’s promise is better than any paycheck: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Think about that. You could lose the job, the house, the car, the status — and still not be empty. Because the One who made you and loves you is still right there.

That kind of security changes the way you live. It makes you generous instead of greedy. Grateful instead of jealous. Peaceful instead of restless.

Contentment isn’t about lowering your dreams. It’s about raising your trust.

Father, thank You that You are enough. Keep me from chasing things that will never fill me. Teach me to be content with Your presence and provision, knowing You will never leave me. Let that truth free me to live with gratitude and generosity today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“This is why chefs wear pants” -my wife 🤣🤣🤣

Story time.

Let’s take a trip back to the beginning, this wasn’t the plan, but I’m glad it worked out.

https://blossom.primal.net/ccee06934c0e6f577e78a09a9566c0db16c584d0ba5a55bcb19ed4ddb743769f.mov

Confidence changes how you live.

“Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh…”

Hebrews 10:19–20 (ESV)

Most of us live with some kind of hesitation. We wonder if we’re good enough. We wonder if God is disappointed. We wonder if we really belong.

But this verse says we can have confidence. Not because we finally got it all together, but because Jesus opened the way. His blood gave us access to God — not someday, but right now.

That means you don’t have to tiptoe into God’s presence. You don’t have to apologize before you even pray. You don’t have to shrink back like you don’t belong there.

When you know you’re forgiven, you live differently. You pray boldly. You lead with courage. You forgive quickly. You stop trying to earn what’s already been given.

Confidence in Christ doesn’t make you arrogant. It makes you free.

So step into His presence today like you actually belong — because in Jesus, you do.

Father, thank You for the confidence I can have in You. Remind me that I don’t come before You in my own strength but through the finished work of Jesus. Let that truth shape how I live, pray, and love today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You can’t stay at the starting line forever.

“Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God.”

Hebrews 6:1 (ESV)

Foundations matter. You can’t build anything worth keeping without one. But a foundation is meant to be built on — not lived on.

Some of us spend years circling the same ground with God. We start and stop. We keep revisiting the same lessons. We ask for the same forgiveness but never move into what comes next.

Growth means building on what God has already done in you. It means trusting that the basics are secure, so you can step into deeper obedience, bolder faith, and greater love.

The starting line is exciting, but it’s not the destination. The race was meant to be run.

So take a step. Try something new in your walk with God. Forgive that person you’ve been avoiding. Serve in a way that stretches you. Open your Bible to a book you’ve never studied before. Pray a prayer that feels too big.

You were made for more than the start.

Father, thank You for the foundation You’ve given me in Christ. Help me to build on it with courage and faith. Move me from what’s familiar into what will grow me. Don’t let me settle when You’ve called me forward. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Great goal. Moleskin is your friend for application BEFORE you get blisters in potential hot spots. And here’s some ideas to avoid losing toenails, courtesy of GPT:

Losing toenails after a marathon (or even during training) usually comes down to repeated trauma and pressure — your nail gets banged into the front of your shoe or is stressed from underneath until it bruises, loosens, and falls off.

Here’s how to keep them intact:

1. Get the right shoe size and fit

•   For marathons, your shoes should be ½ to 1 full size larger than your street shoes to account for swelling.

•   Make sure there’s a thumb’s width of space in front of your longest toe.

•   Heel should stay snug so your foot isn’t sliding forward.

2. Keep toenails short (but not too short)

•   Trim them straight across to avoid pressure and ingrown nails.

•   Leave just enough length so the skin under the nail is covered.

3. Choose the right socks

•   Moisture-wicking, snug (not tight), and without thick seams over the toes.

•   Some runners like double-layer socks to reduce friction.

4. Lace your shoes to lock your heel

•   Try a “runner’s loop” or heel-lock lacing to keep your foot from sliding forward on downhills or late in the race when your form gets sloppy.

5. Manage downhill running

•   Long downhill stretches increase toe impact — shorten your stride and increase cadence on these sections.

6. Address swelling and friction

•   Use moleskin or tape on known hot spots (especially big toe or second toe).

•   Foot lubricants (like BodyGlide) can help in high-friction areas.

7. Break in shoes gradually

•   Don’t run the marathon in brand-new shoes — aim for 50–100 miles of break-in, ideally including some long runs.

This is gold!! Thank you!

Me and my wife are both 37.

Never been a pro athlete or any superstar in fitness.

We have 4 kids. Life is crazy.

That being said.

We signed up for our first marathon, it’s in 33 days. Think we got this?

Who knows. We’re going to do everything we can to complete it.

Wish us luck 🫶🏽

Training starts now.

It’s funny. I have 100k followers on IG, and 56k sub on YouTube but somehow I feel more connected with people here. Love you bro, can’t wait to get back to Costa and hang again 🤙🏽

“Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son…”

Hebrews 1:1–2 (ESV)

We live in a world full of noise. News. Podcasts. Opinions. Advice. Everybody’s got a voice.

But this verse reminds us that the God who created everything still speaks — and He speaks through Jesus.

That changes everything.

It means God isn’t silent about your situation. He isn’t distant from your decisions. He isn’t waiting for you to figure it out alone. He’s still guiding. Still leading. Still making Himself known.

And He doesn’t just speak to “super spiritual” people. He speaks to anyone willing to listen. In the car. In the kitchen. On a run. In the middle of a busy workday.

The challenge isn’t whether God is speaking. The challenge is whether we’re making space to hear Him.

So today, slow down just enough to listen. Open your Bible. Pray like you actually believe He’ll answer. Pay attention to the way He nudges your heart through a conversation or a verse or even a moment of silence.

He is speaking. The question is — are we tuned in?

Father, thank You for still speaking today. Thank You for Jesus who shows me Your heart. Help me quiet the noise long enough to hear Your voice and respond. Speak clearly, Lord, and give me the courage to obey. In Jesus’ name, amen.
