That’s true. I keep thinking about culture though. Costa Rica, Uruguay, New Zealand are all examples of societies I think with a united, relaxed, people first culture. Where as in USA and Canada we are more divided and individualistic. Can bitcoin fix this?

Exactly. It’s not a campaign against bitcoin but a campaign against the alleged environmental effects of bitcoin. We win when we show that we can address/appease their concerns not ignore them.
