Wild Take: USG reveals aliens and confirms they've transacted in bitcoin.

People lose their mind.

Bitcoin visits both $1k and $1M within 24 hours, order unknown.

I like to zap random people on nostr

wait, where did Purple go?

Great podcast episode ☺

@jack coming in from the top ropes

That was the dumbest thing I've read all week.

A freshman bitcoiner can debunk that whole blog post. Not sure if it's a cry for education or legit cognitive dissonance.

I don't understand why people would create such weak arguments and then think they're a genius and the first person to think of those 'pitfalls'.

2012 called, and it wants its fud back. πŸ™„

Until your average Uber driver can explain that bitcoin is a global, non-sovereign, politically neutral, immutable, scarce, fixed supply, bearer digital monetary commodity with zero counterparty risk that resides in cyberspace run by incorruptible software, copied and distributed worldwide, offering a global, affordable, simple, and secure savings account to billions of people suffering from high rates of currency debasement, confiscation, and censorship that don't have the option or desire to run their own hedge fund...

...I would expect Eternal September

Don't call bitcoin "money"

Instead, say "Digital Monetary Property"

Similar to "monetary metals" such as gold and silver.

Normies can more easily swallow the orange pill when they think of bitcoin as digital property. From there you can work in the monetary aspect.

Governments / fiats will then feel less frightening as they debase their currency into oblivion. 🧊

Bitcoin enables property rights to everyone in the world. The only people that are against this tend to be communist. The ethos and ideology of western governments / citizens can reconcile bitcoin as property. Property that is Digital. Property that is meant to store excess capital production. Monetary Property.

Bitcoin is simply Digital Monetary Property.

Once this is well understood, bitcoin will make for good collateral. Collateral similar to mortgage backed securities or physical real-estate, but better. Because bitcoin is not a debt based instrument and can move digitally at the speed of light, it would make ideal collateral to extend [fiat denominated] credit on top of. Sort of like a globally accessible collateral that unofficially underpins/backs a nation's fiat and economic activity.

You might wanna Reserve some, just in case it catches on.

So, I guess bitcoin is like some sort of Reserve Digital Monetary Property.

Thanks Alpha Zeta.

Is there a way to get a simple DCA calculator?

I suppose without the Initial Capital, Upfront Percent, and Allocation Periods?

Many time I have to explain to friends and family to just starting DCA'ing from $0 initial capital. They can start with just $10 or $25 weekly, just get off zero. It seems less intimidating and speculative when they can slowly build weath/bitcoin rather than placing a bet (initial capital).

Is there a simplified version? A version that is Start Date, Frequency, Ammount, and End Date (defaults to current date)?

Also bug when allocation periods=0, dark mode not respected, and Why is there a ticker input?

Thanks Alpha & Swan

Yes. I zapped a few random people a few thousand sats. There was no reason behind the Zaps. I just want to spread joy and happiness. I hope it makes the recipients a little bit happier, knowing that a random stranger across the world zapped them a few sats. I am not important or special, nor do I seek credit. I just want the world to be a bit more joyful.

I am in America (eastern coast). In America, we tip all the time. It is customary to tip for all sorts of services. I hope I did not offend anyone in Japan. I zapped out of love. Love for all humans. God will figure out the rest.

The non-bitcoin people on nostr seem to be a lot nicer and a lot smarter than the non-bitcoin people on Twitter.

Just sayin'

When a problem comes along

You must zap it

Before the cream sits out too long

You must zap it

When something's going wrong

You must zap it

Now zap it

Thank you whoever it was πŸ™
