I spent years in the Jehovah's Witness cult, studying not only the Bible itself but supporting literature that attempts to unravel the meaning of the text. Sometimes successfully, sometimes not, but the reality is that the text was just a means to control people of the day. Nothing more.

Jesus as described was easily the most chill dude ever, who espoused nothing but supreme love for all- sinners, whores, Jesus loved everyone. Nowadays the people behaving most opposite of Jesus are the loudest advocates of Christianity.
