Operational privacy for real people.

Pumpkins have sprouted. The corn and peppers are coming up and the peas are going crazy. The only thing that hasn’t is the potatoes and I planted them first. Those might not take this year.

In the future we’ll have multiple googleflops of storage on our whatever future phone equivalents Your bitcoin node will just be a app that runs in the background taking up less resources than candy crush

That’s my plan. Buying a well loved thinkpad. Will max out the ram at 32G and a 2T drive then go with a light Debian or mint OS. Should be a good setup for my first node

Memory has become so cheap. You can buy a 2TB SSD for $80-$120 depending on brand. That’s insane. I remember my first desktop computer had 3GB and I didn’t see how I could ever fill it up.

Rocking the Kona blend this morning and it is smoooth

I wanted to punch the talking heads telling people “it’s ok, just work longer” during the covid crash

Hybrid peaches and cream

My corn is finally starting to sprout.

I am eyeing a 32G refurbished machine. Dirt cheap without a HD and OS. Memory is cheap and I already run mint xfce. Still have the flash drive with the iso. So I should be good. Thanks everyone!!! 🙏

Silly question. Can I put a big 2T SSD into a old laptop and use it as a bitcoin node? Can I still use it as a laptop or does it need to be dedicated for a node?

Happy stack day everyone!

I am having a hard time believing that Greenpeace is serious about changing the code. The money they spent on a art project could have paid a programmer to write a bitcoin POW fork and release it. Total nonsense that a sculpture is going to convince every node runner to switch to code that doesn’t exist
