Yep. Just easier to find straight pipe and cut it to size. Plus I like the idea that if you ever have to retrieve this copy you need a hacksaw to get into it. Tamper proof

I was actually thinking about a little motor oil. It would let you know if you don’t have a complete seal

I think I have found the solution for long term key storage if you live in a place where tornadoes or hurricanes are a problem.

Putting your key on metal is a must and protects against Fire and Water damage but doesn’t help if it gets blown away in a tornado. Good luck finding it in a 3 mile debris field.

Take a piece of PVC pipe, put the key on metal inside, seal with two end caps and PVC cement. Bury the whole thing. Extra points if you make a pirate treasure map. 🏴‍☠️

It’s called bulking

I bought beef kidney on impulse at the store. Now I have to figure out how to cook the things

Anyone have any success with hot peppers 🌶️? I really want to grow some and even if I get them to sprout I can’t get them past that stage. Tend to die on me.

I have tried Thai chilis and Black Bulgarian with similar results. I’m in zone 8B so should be plenty hot enough for them.

There is a obvious level difference between my yard and the neighbor. We tend to have a dry season in July / August so hopefully this will help.

Got the yard mowed and edged. Experimenting with mowing with the deck at its highest setting to encourage a healthy lawn. So far it just means that I have to mow more often and edging to make it look fresh.

I took down the corn and mulched it up. Mixed with soil and some starter compost. Got it in half a barrel to use next time I’m planting.
