Fair to say. Bitcoin is open source. That doesn’t mean it won’t be leveraged for power. I don’t know what will happen in the future, but presently it is reducing oppression of everyday people. Giving more time back to people improves creativity and advances humanity. We see this with advances in technology.
After only one cycle, I feel a sense of victory. BTC class of 2020 is extraordinarily blessed. Bitcoin felt like a calculated leap of faith, beaten down by adversity and market turmoil, brimming with untapped potential. Seeing it reach this ATH felt joyful and arrived so fast.
Beyond the number go up, what moves me most is being a part of this grassroots revolution. I felt such awesome energy, surrounded by Bitcoiners the night after the election. It was camaraderie and fun but beneath that there’s a monumental stirring that transcends what we will live to witness. We are the architects of a new era. Yes, it is a rise of a new asset class. Even greater than this, it is the exchange of power that will occur and ripple across future generations. I dream of being an active participant in a location of need. There’s already hope being delivered to these communities who’ve been held back by their currency. Freedom and empowerment. I’m praying they will not fight.
