but the syntax is checked _before_ we know if there are permissions or not!
thank you, this was a good list.
but still how would you compare it against python, for example? or javascript? what other languages do you have experience with that you can say are worse than PHP?
this must be the time for bitcoin to shine
is this advocacy for PHP? I would like to hear more about why PHP is good, but this seems to be just a troll post to attract people that would inevitably show up trashing it.
yes, without a comma it would be a syntax error, no?
yes, I think you nailed it.
right, if your client has been configured to read the events from your minds profile.
as computers get faster it becomes harder to debug things by manually pressing keys at exact moments of computation sequences.
wow, I didn't expect that answer. I think most people would not be able to find so many uses for it as you did.
you should probably be using alby instead of nos2x though
the most important thing right now is smart relay selection and using fine-grained relays for each user instead of assuming everybody will always be in the default relay list.
no, I didn't try, but I did consider it and decided to not. why do you think it would be better?
how much would you pay to use it?
There is a bug here somewhere: https://github.com/fiatjaf/nos2x/blob/62b16a24c6c6f7da0a8738b44002314a203ae39a/extension/common.js#L76-L86
Instead of trying to debug it myself I decided to ask the AI, but it couldn't handle it:
Is there some human out there that can help me?
https://coracle.social now has NIP-07 support:
I like that now Nostr has a content from Minds users and not just Nostr developers talking about Nostr.
I did try to use nix, the package manager, twice over these years too, but it never survived enough because it tries to compile all the things from scratch for every little program we try to install, and that takes a lot of disk space and time. they should have an advice: "do not use in weak computers".
also I read the full nix manual but couldn't get used to writing nix derivations so I was feeling helpless when I couldn't write my custom things and that was frustrating.
I tried to install in at least 3 computers, maybe 4, over the last 5 years. never managed to get it running. I'm not a Linux specialist but at least I can install ArchLinux. I think I may have not tried with computers that were modern enough.
to all the haters: I know it can do things outside of webpages, but it is very specifically tailored for webpages. anyway that's just my impression. I did write some PHP in the past in the context of webpages. then I wanted to do things that were not webpages and PHP was not helping me on that, so I stumbled into Python and that was easier to use for non-webpages (in fact it was much harder to use for webpages).
