I think I'm getting it / have experienced headaches in the past on Twitter because of these issues. Would need to hear more, but I'd be down to help contribute design if you're ok with having me =3
What does it do?
Like, I'm imagining there's a button to "unfollow people with a last known post from 12 months back" or something?
Yup, Geyser themselves said
"For these types of sensitive projects in conflict zones, protocols > platforms."
Doesn't seem like you can't post a normal nostr post on Fountain?
I can reply, but can make a new post, at least I don't see the button for it / I'm potentially blind.
Purpose: To answer the following questions:
Did npub-A sell product to npub-B?
Did npub-B purchase product from npub-A?
Proof-of-purchase/sell, or rather, Proof-of-Transaction
One game mods creator answered, when I asked them for what they want in a game mods platform, that they want something like github basically.
The moment he said that I thought "that's waaaay above what I can do, both skillfully and financially".
But then (among others) GitNestr & Nestr by nostr:npub1h0rnetjp2qka44ayzyjcdh90gs3gzrtq4f94033heng6w34s0pzq2yfv0g happened / will happen soon, and now I'm thinking "well damn, I guess it can be done, I'll just go ahead and integrate this into nostr:npub17jl3ldd6305rnacvwvchx03snauqsg4nz8mruq0emj9thdpglr2sst825x ".
#nostr is amazing and will beat every traditional company out there.
Why? It has an ever-expanding number of talented people, with an every number of products being built on top of it, that no other single or group of companies can ever have.
Those who are not on nostr WILL lose out.
Just realized yesterday, thinking of nip-99, that there should be, should be a "receipt" function, unrelated to LN.
npub-A selling product.
Product has some kind of ID.
npub-B buys product.
Receipt (event address) is created, which has product ID and other info related to product, that's verifiable with npub-A address as the seller and npub-B address as the buyer.
This, the receipt event address, may include LN receipt information.
That receipt event address (addresses) would be stored in relays, however, depending on either of the party, it would be vital for them to always have that receipt event address saved, to verify the purchase.
I'm not sure if this is already a thing, but I think it's incredibly important to have.
I'd want to have it as a user and/or store owner/runner.

When do you think it'd be noob-ready? (Windows, download and double-click .exe to install).
From what others have told me, I could probably get a better piece of hardware than Umbrel's one, however, I'm leaning towards Umbrel because even though it'll only work for Umbrel stuff, I'm not going to use it for anything else for a long time (by then, if I do want to use it for other stuff, I'd need new hardware anyways). So, I'll get it to remove any headaches and just have it as a quick plug-in-umbrel-and-play.
And google, and discord, and telegram, and so on and so forth
In regards to games, music, or any time of digital product license that involves the thought of us "purchasing" it but its not a purchase, but rather a "license ":
Stores like Steam or Apple, etc, should change the button wording from "purchase", "buy", "get", "acquire", etc, to "rent" , as it properly describes what the current product one is spending money on is, where the current wording does not.
As a result of the current wording, if for whatever reason an "account" that holds a "purchase" of a digital product would get banned/deleted/revoked/etc, where there are "purchases" of one or more digital product within a reasonable time-frame and hasn't been downloaded by the user, then that would amount to proper theft.
Once a stores change their word to "rent" as a correct term, they'd also need to include the timing of the rent, where in most cases it would be something along the lines of "indefinitely until something happens and then its suddenly gone without an obligation of a notice".
Once this change happens, they would also announce and notify every user prior to this change that all (or most) their previous "purchases" have been converted to a purchasable item, and they have up to 1 to 3 years (to X date / Y time) to download their whatever they've "purchased", at which point the store doesn't have any legal repercussion if something happens and they deny you the ability to download the product or even have it removed from your account for whatever reason.
Now, for products with "purchase": you'd buy it, have a limited number of downloads of the file, and have a specific time window for the store to be obligated to give you so that you can download said product. Once all store obligations have been met/depleted/expired, the store can do what I mentioned in the previous paragraph.
With these changes, this would properly define and differentiate between an actual "purchase" and a "license" (to be under the umbrella of "rent"). One would be proper ownership while the other wouldn't be.
It's also worth noting that if you purchase a product, specifically a good, then that's that, however, if its a good with a service, the "Service" part of it is not something you'd own. The only thing you'd own after a purchase is the good, not service.

Bonus: with hopefully details of said connections considering potential stores/clients might have subscription packages, so would be cool to see where the connection string is connected to (name + domain), and type of connection (free pay with set limits, or recuring payments at x price every y days at z sats (or z usd / dynamic sats) with set limits).
We just enabled NIP 47 Nostr Wallet Connect or NWC!
Thanks nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm and others for the push

Looking forward to a page / section that would be called "manage connections"
Yea I've also been pondering this. WoT is great but adds a roadblock. On my end I'm thinking of add a tab that basically shows "without WoT" for discoverability. It's not perfect, but it would be there.
This would be until a better solution comes along.
I only played it a bit months ago so I'm not sure. So I still need to spend more time playing it to get thoughts on it.
I mainly downloaded it solely because I like this character design specifically:

This is interesting. Haven't seen this before... rewards for downloading game updates.
