I guess I'm one of those #vtubers. Having fun talking about general topics, vrchat/similar, and games. Also #indiedev #gamedev. You can call me: Freak فْرِيكٌ フリク (still learning Nihongo). #envtuber #podcast #gaming #gamedev

That's an interesting one. Will research it.

Will see if I can hopefully bring development of Nomen back to life. Issue was no client gave it a chance for some reason (perhaps I'll figure out why if I do, but will attempt at least).

With that said, would be neat if both of these solutions combine somehow

I wonder if someone will make a smartphone that has a NostrOS (let's say its a nostr-optimized android), and what's in it is just nostr:npub10r8xl2njyepcw2zwv3a6dyufj4e4ajx86hz6v4ehu4gnpupxxp7stjt2p8 . Nothing else.

Open it. Put your nip-05, and download all apps from your list, then wait a few minutes. Done. Phone ready for use.

Sign-in -> Download -> Enjoy.

Now compare this to a normal android with google. Ya, now you have a headache, right?

#nostr is awesome! =3

Fair point.

Silent Payments (SP1) would help here I'd imagine?

I wonder if a nip can be developed where it would allow for a nostr published event ID to be included in a Bitcoin transaction's OP_RETURN, and the same Bitcoin transaction ID be included in said nostr published event.

Similar to Zaps, this would attach verifiable ID (nostr addresses) to native Bitcoin transactions.

If you shove in a tag that holds another's event ID or profile address, then you got everything we have on LN Zaps on Nostr, but native. Native Zaps.

What's cool about that? No setup (usable by everyone right now). Non custodial. Immediate settlement. No LN channel headaches.

(Cons: the usual: slow and fee).

Use-cases: Basically if someone wants to send bigger amounts of money, let's say more than $10, definitely more than a $100.

UI/UX presentation: depending on the Nostr app/site, it'd be a simple visual separation or separating them via sections or tabs.

I was attempting to make an account on Mastodon to put some tiny marketing on there, specifically on Misskey but you have to be in JP to make an account there so won't be posting there until I travel to JP at some point x3, but so then I considered other instances and while considering them I thought "... Nah, not worth the mental energy and general effort" so skipping that all together.

Doesn't seem like clients are using a standard method of Web of Trust (WoT) / there isn't a nip for it? I like how Coracle is doing it.

Ya... I don't want my Bitcoin going full terrorist on me. No thanks.

I'm not sure if what I'm going to suggest is the second point here, but:

For me, the desired way to do it would be for a team member to generate a separate keypair, they'd give me the npub, and it'd put it on a list where to see their sent notes to me, for me (the main npub) to publish manually or automatically.

This can be a client function or a separate nip function (with a supported client).

This removes any complicated setups and decrease a lot of risk.

How many people are following me on nostr?

Honestly I stopped caring since it's just a funny number here.

How many people are talking with me, sending me emojis, zapping me, now that's the true metric.
