drastically ungovernable taxes disrespector, ANCAP LIBER*

they comes from within, but bitcoin is the only thing happening in the world that is not bullshit

my humble dinner from yesterday was paid by a fiat pseudo-job that doesnt provide any value to any human on earth and shouldnt exists at all.

what a fucking time to be alive would be if I wouldnt have bitcoin as hope of a new life and a new world

if you use a lot of apps it optimize notifications because it need only one connection for all the apps. Still I agree with you, and also I would use only FOSS apps that dont rely on firebase

fiat is so good because you can buy bitcoin, I struggling not having fiat so hard😓

The problem is that some particular security settings are not compatible with a "generic good ux", so there are limits to "how secure" a linux distro ready to use can be.

I frankly wouldnt use any ready to go distro; I prefer gentoo with my fine tuned configs or openbsd. Alpine linux or arch/artix also are good options in my opinion.

The problem with these minimal distros is that they require time for experimenting and to develop competence. But the maintainance time at some point become zero, because there are few things that can break and you have put them in so you know whats broke; so when you are competent enough you know how to maintain these distros in pretty zero time (if there's a new problem you dont know how to fix... LFG a new thing to learn!!!).

If we just want compatibility with software and development tools, a debian or a linux mint will do the job with a goox ux and will be "secure enough" for a lot of use cases.

germany as culture has peaked some years ago, today is just another commie failing eu state (has locally peaked, we all know when the ATH happened...)

I want to challenge your position.

Sometimes linux is considered not secure for the components it includes (systemd, gnu stack...) and the fact that it doesnt enforce security practices by default.

But why not using linux with good componemts, like:

/hardened-customized-linux/openrc/mus-libc/a minimal WM/pure ALSA/unix-stile-utilities IOMMU enabled, spectre and other cpu mitigations active in kernel, MAC with Selinux and so on.

Linux is a standard. Probably most common distros are bad, but you can build the Os you want and you have a lot of options to do that.

Bsd are linux but 15 years ago. But you can build your linux based os like its 15 years ago, using the best options and end with a better os, secure for your needs. Bsds are shitcoin, mac is just trash.

Did you expected milk or what? Because in this case is "milk and cacao". Hot chocolate is melted chocolate in american coffee cups. The cheap version is the "ciobar", a popular ready to boil hot chocolate in italy.

if you want a real italian experience you need to indicate with gestures and pathos what coffe you want, for example "please I want caffè espresso ristretto corto 🖐🤏🤏🤏🤏🙌 stop 👍👌 perfecto thanks!!!!!!!!!"

the only real understandable reason to not being on #nostr today is not being on any social media at all. If you dont need social media, probably today you dont need nostr either. Still, if here development will continue to go well, you probably will use nostr in future for the "Other Things" parts, and it will be a good future 😎

depend on what you need. Mail is a protocol where if you dont selfhost, the provider can do what he want with your identity and your data. You can encrypt all mails, but still a lot of metadata is leaked (also, if you use mails for common services means you cant encrypt all mails and your data is leaked to provider on daily basis).

So the best way is compartimentalize your identities, use different mails for different needs, and selfhost if you really need something more in terms of privacy.

Frankly all services are pretty the same, I use protonmail as a kycname@mail.com, I dont expect any privacy from them. For pseudonimous mails cock.li is a good provider, he is very open and clear with what he can do.

Hopefully nostr will make mail obsolete.

also a lot of bad practices, like no possibilities for free tier to use imap and smtp. This enforce their first party clients to users where faulty pgp implementations or backdoors of any kind can be inserted; also clients are open source but there is absolutely no attention to reproducibility or good FOSS development practice in general.

Also extensive use of wasm and jit javascript in the login page of webclient that only god know what it does and reportedly leaks infos when connecting trough onion domains.

And yes, in the end is just a "trust us, we are the good swiss people, google bad" narrative, without ANY technical better solution respect what google offers...
