What about relays checking if a certain epub has already submitted a note before and when not only accept it after a certain delay? That'll slow spammers down.

Perhaps something can be done with an approach of checking immediate replies to a post. The swiftness of ReplyGuy can be their undoing (at least temporarily).

Perhaps relays should not immediately accepts notes from unknown accounts. Some delay first.

Registering new accounts ans immediately using them is trivial, which greatly facilitates spamming with throwaway accounts. šŸ˜¤
