Epic vs Apple & Google in Australia goes to trial early next year. Big case for App store freedom.
But the reality is any business relying on the big platforms can be crushed at any time.
My Lightning address service brianoflondon@v4v.app sends an image with every Lightning Address request, what other services do this? I'm testing something and need other examples to test against.
I've been thinking about reputation and trust.

Every Lightning channel is a co-owned NFT.
You can't sell them and your 50% share is controlled by the other party. And if you opened the channel, your investment in the fees to open it are at risk and entirely out of your control too.

The reason the "Nakba" defines this woman's favorite victim group is because there doesn't exist evidence of Arab Palestinian people with a national character before then.
It literally is the creation myth of Palestinianism.
#nakba #Israel #palestine
If you believe in ever increasing value of BTC that means the fees you ignored in the past will one day be significant wealth you threw away when you could have been staking sats on Wallet of Satoshi and letting them absorb the costs.
You just made me think⌠according to Bard⌠there are 13.75 million vehicle transactions per year in USA and 278m personal and commercial vehicles.
If each transfer of a vehicle (in the USA alone) is a BTC transaction (because youâd want to record change of ownership as the bare minimum) thatâs 9.2 months LOL. Assuming no other transactions.
Bitcoin in its present form cannot be used for anything beyond finance (and even that is looking ropey right now).
That would be nice⌠most them wonât touch me because Iâm a âshit coinerâ who posts on a properly self sovereign Hive system instead of using corporate controlled and owned Medium or Substack like all the good plebs.
LOL the Ordinals craze makes running your own Lightning node insanely and stupidly expensive so only a few thousand zealots will do it.
Opening channels and then re-opening them when they force close because of bugs and subtle incompatibles in all the core software, oh and Tor being such a crappy system to run on, makes Lightning node running stupid at small scale. Sure it is a few sats at 1 sat/Vb but at 100+sats/Vb you have to be made of money to do it.
99+ of Lightning use will tend to custodial solutions and youâve just recreated the horror of the banking system with different middle men.
There is no Bitcoin community. There are only a bunch of conflicted self interest groups and semi-religious cults.
And amongst them, only miners are incentivized by the core protocol.

Iâve been reluctantly building on Lightning because I saw big VC money going in and to ride those coat tails and pick up on what they built.
The current fiasco with Ordinals has me doubting Lightningâs future entirely.
I donât see any ROI for VCs when channel openings and random closures will eat all possible profits and cost reductions. Without centralised services and huge nodes investing big BTC bucks, I donât see any way this works.
I donât see what incentive Miners have to do anything different, they make bank on these fees. They donât want stupid 1 sat/vb channel openings and at 100+ sat/vb I donât see how Lightning is viable.
Perhaps at some point this destroys Bitcoin completely, I donât see how the original âbest money everâ continues when moving it even via Lightning requires either a huge upfront investment or huge fees.
Where is the incentive for Miners to even want to change the code and discourage arbitrary data storage?
Unfortunately Bitcoinâs ridiculous governance model (i.e. shouting on Twitter and some email lists with no actual ability to force a change in the code) looks increasingly like its biggest vulnerability.
Why am I wrong? #[0]â #[1]
Looked into it and there was a close issued from your end.
Just the vagaries of Lightning.
My node also force closed with Muun's node because they became unresponsive.
Unconnected but simultaneously I have 13m sats on chain but that I can't touch. Will have to ask Lightning Labs on Slack for help with that.
I decided to check Al-Reuters' story about Hamas no longer taking Bitcoin donations. Fact check True â
I finally reflashed a new SD card. Everything is on the hard drive (except ssh key config for some reason) and now it's working again.
I got some help to check out the recent Reuters story about Hamas terrorists telling supporters not to send Bitcoin because of fears their supporters can be tracked.
The story checks out.

#[0]â my channel to you force closed from your end last night, any issues at your end? Iâm always curious why Force closes like this happen.
My voltage Lightning node force closed 3 important channels last night right in the middle of a Mempool Tsunami....
Pain in the arse.
The Bitcoin maxi world should get behind this campaign.
