that's some next level sarcasm lol!
found out about prospera.co recently!

Ooh, lovely free for all community we've got here!
Good day, fellow chaos theorists!
"left" and "right" are not neatly along economic collectivism and economic individualism. I recommend people don't use those labels for their axis. They can also be called authoritarianism and libertarianism toward the economy, so the authoritarian vs libertarian should say __social__ auth and __social__ lib.
But I am firmly in chaos theorist territory lol! (But that doesn't mean there are no conspiracies at all)
The creator of the GIF said it is pronounced like that, so I see no issue there. I like to say "Nostra" or sometimes "Nostril".
I'm not an expert on the future. I haven't lived there yet. I anticipate a few cryptocurrencies to become the most used, with Bitcoin probably being the greatest by market cap. They will be currencies widely regarded as useful or decentralized/neutral to governments. People don't always pick the best option, but they will pick decent options, in this case as alternatives to CBDCs that governments are trying to roll out and force on people.
Totally valid opinion, which applies to all banks by definition. Banks need to pause, slow, or ration withdrawals when there is a run on them. If you don't like that, then don't deposit at any banks. It's that simple. Unregulated banks are better than government-controlled banks, but they are still banks. They put your money at risk by definition.
Shit, I was typing when I got that notification
Completely agree with the sentiment in this stupidly bad banking climate created by government involvement. But the traditional banks make banks like Coinbase look like a Godsend. A shitty market is better, in my eyes, than a corrupt industry of gangsters enabled and abetted by the Fed and the regulatory boards, which you can ALWAYS count on to fuck you over. We're in the beginning stages of a more decentralized financial system. There will be growing pains along the way. Those of us who self-custody are the safest and we should educate others about it, but also, as that happens and alternative currencies to the dollar rise up (not USD-pegged ones, but Bitcoin and others), banks will become more trustworthy than they are now. The market will demand transparency and decentralization. Right now, fiat banks have neither, and they are "too big to fail." Almost anything is a step up from that.
I again don't know what you're talking about, but I am now thoroughly convinced that you are the most technologically savvy squirrel that I have ever met. Kudos!
I think it's a losing game because the dollar is a losing game lol!
And yeah, one shouldn't be completely reliant on any other one single entity for a majority of their wealth.
Really the best thing that people who want to get into something new and unregulated can do, is to not put all their eggs in one rickety basket and possibly get insurance to protect against fraud or catastrophic failure, and otherwise do their research and avoid the crappiest alternatives. Nothing wrong with playing the field and giving something a shot if they think it is genuinely useful. The market will correct itself if it is allowed to function uninterrupted.
Terra Luna used a very different system and had different managers. I'm starting to think that a lot of people here don't understand how alternatives and automatic regulation work in a free market.
Just had a thought. It's gonna be very interesting when strippers adopt the practice of having lightning addresses tattooed to their bums for you to tip.
This is how I think about political ideology now.
