Here is the finished product of my beef tallow making from yesterday. The liquid form right after straining, and the solid form after cooling. 2 quart jars and 1 pint jar. I am pleased with the results, and after watching multiple yt videos, i decided to try the method that looked like it would be the easiest. So i just put the fat into a pot with a lid, then put it into the oven on low heat. Took longer than i thought it would, but that was not a problem. #foodstr #grownostr #beeftallow

Good morning nostr, I overslept today, and it felt good. Ready to tackle the day and get stuff done, after my coffee of course. I picked up a new kitchen calendar yesterday, and it caught my attention because it's also a garden calendar and features different plants and things to do each month. And on the first page, they feature a story about a young family opening up a new tree farm and store, sometime in March. Its exciting to me, since I love to visit new nurseries and tree farms. I'm even thinking it might be nice to work part-time at a tree farm, just to see how an operation like that works. I'm gonna consider it. I’ve been slaving away at the prompts for an ungodly long time trying to achieve an epic vision.

This is probably the closest i’ve gotten. It’s a little too complex i guess 🥵

Finished digging around my little vitex tree. Just have to cut the cedar log into sections to make the box for it. Then I can add some leaf mulch and be done. Outdoor work like this is so much more enjoyable than cleaning house, so I got that done first, to get it over with. #grownostr #trees #countrylife #homesteading #vitex
