That’s fair. I’m just asking for informational purposes. I have chosen to leave my CCs un-wiped but have a strong passphrase that is not saved to a SD card or written down in the same location. For me right now that is sufficient while I still play around with functionality and different wallet SW and recovery methods.
I’m talking about after that initial send. I don’t want to have to actually send a transaction multiple times a year just to verify. I will if I have to but I was wondering if there was a way for me to check without sending an onchain transaction.
Is there a risk if I just build the transaction but don’t broadcast after the initial test transaction you’re talking about?
Unchained Capital has a signer verification periodically but they don’t make a transaction.
Big Brain Question.
If you are encouraged to verify signing device operation how do you do this without actually sending a transaction? I've been creating a transaction in Sparrow and building it but just not broadcasting it. and I'm wondering if this is an acceptable check or if there are other ways to verify good operation of a signing device.
I’m looking for simple solutions.

Yeah. I kind of see a relay as a community that you jump in when you connect. With more people these relays will have cross topics going on all at once. But if I had the option I’d post specific notes to specific relays or communities. I like music stuff so if I had a specific relay or community for music talk I could go connect to that and see all my relevant posts. Then switch back to bitcoin relays when I’m done. You could make your own personal community by grouping certain relays. Or default relays with option to switch back and forth. You save relay connections but only connect when you want to.

Nostr functional question.
When I publish a “note” does it get hosted on a particular relay or does it hosted on all relays im connected to? Where does my data reside?
