yeah that's a good guide but I've been having issues accomplishing step #1: "find another bitcoiner" 🤣 which is why I thought about meetups. Mostly because I just would like to hang out with bitcoiners in meatspace. Not necessarily thinking about scaling a huge community although that would be cool

Lo de que Bitcoin es difícil no es más que una excusa.

Hace tiempo una persona novata se me quejaba de lo dificil que era hacer funcionar Bluewallet, y yo le propuse un reto: que comparara lo que se tarda y lo difícil que es abrir una cuenta bancaria y hacer una transferencia online desde el mismo. Claramente es mucho más difícil, pues tienes que darte de alta, rellenar decenas de datos personales, enviar el DNI, esperar la aprobación. Y luego, tienes que manejar 2 claves, la operativa y la de solo lectura. Tienes que entender el concepto de que es un IBAN, obtener el IBAN y los datos personales de la otra persona, y la doble autenticación para firmar transacciones.

Abrir una Bluewallet o una Phoenix o una Zeus o Alby no requiere nada de eso, y estás operativo literalmente en 5 minutos. Tú como evangelizador se lo puedes hacer delante de su cara.

Entonces, cual es el problema: la actitud tribal y las costumbres tribales. Vemos como normal todo ese arduo proceso de abrir una cuenta bancaria, y sin embargo como difícil usar Phoenix, que es solo guardar las 12 palabras y listo.

Costumbre costumbre costumbre.

Si no quieres abandonar las costumbres de tu tribu, es que no quieres ser libre realmente. Valoras más la costumbre que la libertad, y ante eso nada se puede hacer, nada más que esperar que algún día despiertes.
