What a blessing it is to be tired in the pursuit of a challenge of your own choosing 🧡

Some books are meant to sit on your shelf for a long time until a version of you is ready to confront and read it. 💐

Take more photosss!! You are young, you are alive and healthy. You have free will. Photos are proof that you existed in that moment, learn to keep the memories forever.

to be seen without performing. to be loved without limitations. to be understood with the purest intent.

What a privilege it is to be educated, beautiful, emotionally mature and intelligent, whimsy, articulate, intellectual, creative, beautiful and an old soul.🧡

I think books raised me more than people did 🥹

it really is THAT deep. who you date, who you call a friend, what you watch, what you eat, where you work, what you speak over yourself... all of it matters. energy is real. what you allow in your space, in your mind, and in your body.

They say books won’t change the world.

Tell that to every colonizer who burned them.

To every enslaved person who was punished for reading.

Literacy is resistance.

Literacy is liberation.

The library is a battlefield.

There is something so beautiful about having long term friends that have witnessed multiple versions of you and loved you unconditionally through each version 🧡

Women in different countries are celebrating the decline in birth rate while Nigerian women are busy having kids like their lives depend on it.

Your ideas about women, work, and life are outdated. Women are not afraid of being alone. We do not need a man to validate us. We choose our own paths. We define our own strength. You think a woman who pursues her own career and her own interests is "wasted." You think she will be alone with cats at 50. You think she will be unhappy without a husband, without domestic skills.

You are wrong.

A woman's worth is not determined by her ability to cook, mend, or clean. A woman's worth is not tied to her beauty or her marital status. We are strong, capable, and independent. We choose our own lives and we are not afraid of being alone. We will not conform to your outdated ideas of what a woman should be. We will not be silenced.

"I'm not a feminist," says the girl who benefits from the rights that feminism has given; At 20, she is still single and not being forced into marriage with a man the age of her grandfather.

She has her own bank account, the right to vote, the freedom to wear pants, the ability to speak in public, and access to education.

Burst my brain 😒

Be consumed by your ambition.

There is no deeper betrayal than abandoning your own becoming.

Be haunted by your potential until you have no choice but to see it through.

I just saw a TikTok where a woman said “do you actually want it or do you want other people to see that you have it?” and WHEW! I feel like more people need to ask themselves this, because what they THINK they want, isnʼt what they actually want. What they really desire is acceptance.

Not to be overdramatic or anything but the decline in popularity of handwritten letters is one of the most disappointing decisions we've made as a modern society.

“no one reads my writing” okay but is the goal to be read or is the goal to add to the universal stream of collective consciousness and learn more about the depths of your mind through exploring it in mediums previously untouched?

I’m pretty sure the antidote to stress and overwhelm isn’t more rest.

I’m pretty sure it’s fun.

We never talk about having fun. We view it as a bigger luxury than rest.

But frankly, rest is maddening, mind-numbing.

Fun is restorative.

So if your rest isn’t working, maybe try doing something that sounds fun.

Maybe dostoevsky was right when he said that pain is the root of consciousness. there’s something about suffering that forces you to see things clearly, even the parts you wish you could unsee.

Reading as a hobby is a privilege. a luxury even. to have the time, access, and finances to engage in such a wonderful practice and make it a hobby, is in fact, a big privilege—and a lot of people don’t realize that.

No matter your age, you'll always wish you started younger. But today is the youngest you'll ever be.

Nothing will make you more anxious than avoiding the work you know you need to do.

Ironically, doing the work is almost always less stressful than avoiding it.

But we convince ourselves it’s the opposite.

And that lie costs us progress.

One of the most underrated skills you can learn is the ability to ignore your mood and stick with the plan.

Be bored more often. Go for long walks. Meditate. Journal your thoughts. Read new books. Spend time alone in nature without your phone. You'll start to understand yourself a lot much better. Your brain comes up with its best ideas when it is left to wander.

In those quiet moments, you’ll find clarity and inspiration you just can’t get when you’re always distracted.

We’ve normalized overconsumption ( and it’s killing your creativity)

We can’t even eat without watching YouTube.

We can’t go for a walk without listening to music.

We can’t go to the toilet without without scrolling reels.

There’s no breathing room for your mind, instead it’s a never ending stream of dopamine.

How do you expect to create something great when all you ever do is consume?

Give yourself a little space.💐

No woman in my lineage has had as much rights, freedom or opportunity than I do right now.

I’m not going to waste this experience being insecure or worrying about what people will say about me

reading is inhaling.

writing is exhaling.

My unpopular opinions:

📚Society doesn't want women to be happy. It wants them to be useful.

📚Think about it: motherhood isn't treated like something sacred; it's more like a strategy. It keeps women exhausted, tied down, emotionally drained, financially dependent... and way too busy to burn the system down.

📚So when a woman says: "Yeah, I'm not going to play that role," people don't get angry because she's selfish.

They get angry because she's free.

📚Some of us weren't born to play along.

📚Some of us were made to question the whole damn system.

📚What's something you were taught to believe about being a "good woman" that you've had to unlearn? I want to hear your story 👇👇👇
