These are new tools that just came to market due to the massive amount of demand. This is what actual adoption looks like in reality and was inevitable.
It’s not the best way to stack its a tool that can help you HODL longer depending on your personal financial situation. It doesn’t take away any demand from bitcoin it only adds to it. These products only increase buying pressure for bitcoin and is speeding up the adoption process and bringing a new type of investor into the bitcoin ecosystem.
Selling your bitcoin or taking out a loan against it isn’t much of a solution either especially where we are in the cycle.

Bitcoin doesn’t care about anyones expectations
We were all normies at some point and it turns out they make up about 98% of the population. I don’t see how we get to mass adoption on the NOSTR protocol without a tremendous improvement in the onboarding ux.
Onboarding normies will increase world adoption and allow each individual the ability to communicate in a decentralized fashion without needing permission. Paring this along side the adoption of Bitcoin this would create a better world for the average individual. Everyone benefits when theres a world where people are free to communicate and transact in Bitcoin.
Most of us here probably still can’t onboard our girlfriends at this point and NOSTR is more of a niche cult of individuals who are living in the future 😂

Most people who claim to be Bitcoin Maxis also happen to know nothing about personal finance and would rather debate with everyone who doesn’t see things the same way they do on the idea that they are the most virtuous/righteous/purest/stoic etc…
The truth is everything is a tool including Bitcoin. Nothing here on planet Earth is perfect. Everything has its trade offs. There’s more than one way to skin a cat. Everyone’s personal financial situation is different.
My goal is to keep stacking 20 years from now. Not to sell when we moon and all my problems will magically go away.
Most people who got into Bitcoin early probably just got lucky just based on the financial advice I see being communicated in the Bitcoin community.

The optionality I’ll have will be much greater than someone who has to peel off a chunk of their Bitcoin stack every time just to survive. If you’re selling your bitcoin to survive I’m not sure you can call yourself a maxi. I personally have a decent size of my net worth in Bitcoin held in self custody and also hold MSTR and MSTY in a variety of taxable and tax free accounts. Bitcoin is pristine collateral and is always there if I need. My goal is to never need to sell it. Mstr is the fastest horse in the race for the foreseeable future. MSTY generates monthly income for me while I wait. With that income I could buy more Bitcoin with it or buy more Mstr with it or reinvest the dividends into more MSTY to generate even more income perpetually each month, or I can take the distribution each month and use it to pay bills if I see fit. I like have options and don’t want to live like a peasant every time the price of Bitcoin drops because the worlds on fire.
No need to apologize I’m just using the tools in front of me to actualize my life and anyone who thinks that’s a bad idea shouldn’t be giving any financial advice.
