I think I’ll wait 1,000 years or so until they actually have it terraformed. Certainly a century or so. Unless they entice us with 1,000 acres that we get to keep even after terraforming. I might would consider it then. Maybe.

I suspect it’s going to be like a Heinlein book I read one time though. We aren’t going to mars. They will. People with *lots* of money I mean. We get to go if we can fill a slot that 1,000,000 other people were shooting for because we have 3-4 skills they need. PhDs in multiple disciplines type stuff. Simply because of how expensive it will still be to go there.

2308 here. 3.5 hours into a 12 hour shift.

It’s all what you get used to I expect. I wouldn’t trade living here for anything. Even if it is miserable 2-3 months out the year.

I did some training in the desert for a month 15-16 years ago. It was a good 110-115 Freedom degrees most of the time. I’m still not sure which is worse a dry 110-115 or 92-97 Freedom with 65-70% humidity.

I heard an old podcast the other day where the guest calls politicians what they are: violence brokers. I’m going to use that term going forward.

Patton didn’t have to wear every medal he was entitled to so he could impress people. Medals also get handed out for things you wouldn’t think warranted a medal. That was my experience anyway. Might have just been the unit I was in but I doubt it.

Love me some duck. I’ve heard good things about dog from acquaintances that travel. Never talked to anyone that’s eat cat. Well. Eat it knowing they was eating it anyway.

For those of you that do audiobooks audible is having a 2 books for one credit deal over the next few days. Picked a few up.

Time to dig out my M1 carbine, bayonet, mag pouches and chest rig. I did get a ultimax rail to replace the hand guard and put a red dot on it. Please don’t hurt me.

It was. I was also the only person on the 15 primitive camp sites the whole week, until my sister and brother in law joined me the last night. It was just what the doctor ordered.

This was my view for a week, about a month ago.

Lost mine 10 years ago. Luckily I only need them for one eye so I get by ok.

I could go for some frog legs.

Still couldn’t get zapplepay working again. Started using primal. Got zaps working. Now I’m back on damus to post until I figure out how to post on primal. I don’t always get there quickly but I usually get there eventually.
