Ah man, I feel you, a few years ago I tried to read it and it didn’t click, I couldn’t get through it. I put it down and gave it another go last year and fell in love with her writing. It’s amazing to think she wrote that on a date at just 19 years old. Definitely give yourself a break 🫂

Mate, i do that too! 🤣 when I want to read something but nothing heavy I read some of my old school books by Jaqueline Wilson or Sophie Kinsella or something about vampires or witches. Something silly but fun. I’ll check out that Ruby Holler book

Your way makes way more sense 🫂 my way is rather messy 😂. Takes so long too, but I’m just so aware that I’m going to be 30 this year, and these London drivers are mad so that could cut my life down by quite a bit 😂 I may never get to read half the books on my shelf. But I don’t just want to read them, I want to understand them and connect with them, so even if I don’t get to read half as much as I would have liked, the ones I do read will really resonate with me for a long long time. I won’t read every book this slowly though, just the ones that require it 🙏🏽

Tried Hershey’s chocolate for the first time today. It’s got a sort of vomit aftertaste. Slightly bitter. It’s interesting.

When I have kids one day, when they’re rather naughty that’s what I’d give them. The taste of disappointment.

Last week I was talking to this couple from Vegas and they asked if I have ever been to Vegas and I responded that it has been a real long time... Pretty much 20 years ago when I first landed in the US that was one of the first places I visited.

It was a Dani Johnson's First Steps to Success Seminar. Learning all about cold calling.....

This is what's left of those memories.

It wasn't until several days later, that out of the blue it dawn on me that I have absolutely been to Vegas more than that one time.

I am amazed how I blacked out to recall that.

But yes, I was in Vegas in 2011 speaking at a conference, the largest in the industry I was involved at the time for about a decade as a "top" "influencer" 💁🏻‍♀️oooooh... Spoke about "Social Media Buzz with Video" in the Palms hotel Pearl ballroom....

I remember the big brag about that was that Britney Spears was performing on that same stage the weekend after... I am literally laughing out loud right now writing this.... 😆mostly because silly outdated old paradigm copywriting and marketing spins that such details were made to stand out... Later gave a talk at a breakout room...

There was a VIP after party for all the speakers later at the top floor at the Playboy Suite 👯‍♀️ and we got to take photos with industry friends at a giant spinning oval bed.

My partner at the time and I had hired a filming crew and traded a ticket with another industry friend to be our assistant and bring one speaker at a time into our suite where I'd interviewed them.

It was a busy weekend and I remember feeling terrible inside the Vegas Hotels. The energy was ewwww. I eventually went to hang out and restore with a massage at the spa and chill out by a pool in the sun. As far as I remember it was some acupressure massage and triggered a ton of grief in me. I ended up crying the whole time on the plane home, grieving my 18 year old cousin Toni who was killed car accident in recent months. 😪
