Whoever made this deserves some zaps ⚡
that's how useless things are that start with YA.
who else learned the hard way to read BTC decimal places as a pair of 4 digit numbers: 0000 0000?
don't mess with it. it took me a lot time to get used to counting in sats.
we need a single technological buzzword to refer to this whole thing that people can use.
no one needs to remember the protocol name nostr (it's a poorly chosen name anyways)
no one client client should become synonymous with the technology itself. (none of the existing clients have a catchy name anyways)
any suggestions?
there is a problem with nostr
nostr is a protocol
nostr is like smtp to email
just as there are many email clients: outlook, thunderbird, apple mail, gmail, yahoo mail, protonmail...
there are also many nostr clients: amethyst, damus, iris, snort...
client diversity is good
but what is the corresponding word to "email" or "tweet" for nostr?
"notes"?
Ah, I see it now. So how bad is this latency problem for nostr relays? How can nostr scale is notes can't be reliably distributed when the user base is still so small? I really want to see nostr succeed, but so far the UX is not solid enough yet.
Why is Astral.ninja not syncing my posts, even with the same relays? 🤔
