You should use a lightning custodial wallet and run your channels. Also, I don't like to have much bitcoin in lightning, when I have ~150k sats on LN I send it to On chain cold wallet

I just prefer custodial wallets in case of lightning due to ease. But yeah I agree that I should have my own channels. I just stack & move it to onchain.
