I find the AI safety stuff so incredibly cringe.

They are scared of what they don't know. All new tech has that property, like electricity, cell phones, microwaves and even writing. This is especially the case in a fiat system where Luddites can not just FUD everything, but steal from everyone else to do it.

The doomerism is a projection. They feel their own influence and market power diminishing and project that out onto the rest of society. But of course, that's not how it works. AI will be a great tool for humanity, but it can easily get stifled like nuclear energy through regulation. We must not let that happen.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I’m not quite sure if there is such a thing as “too late”. If #Bitcoin gets to a point where it is deemed too late, what would the price have to be? And wouldn’t that mean that there would be more people and places that accept and pay in bitcoin? Wouldn’t those who are too late just find a way to get paid in bitcoin instead of fiat?

Aren’t we all a little late on some aspect of life (e.g. health and relationships)? This is what’s been on my mind and I think what’s allowed me to let things be. Just grateful that I myself am in Bitcoin, however “early” it is doesn’t matter. Let me know your 2 sats. #asknostr

Seedsigner is not immune to physical compromise. By default it has no tamper evident properties. If you're depending on it as your sole hardware signing device, I would strongly encourage locking it up when not in use and using a tamper evident tape. Odds are low that you'll ever experience an issue, but no reason not to add extra low cost layers of defense.

Had several gatherings this weekend and obviously I started the bitcoin conversation.

It seemed some were very interested others just dismissed it off hand without a second glance.

My bestfriends wife litterally said to me "it's never gonna happen"

I had to reply with "oh it will happen, and the longer it takes the less value you'll be able to acrue"

It just makes me sad that hardly anyone will listen, even when we make excellent points regarding the use cases and the multiple ways it can help one save, invest and secure their future.

Oh well I guess our fight continues....

Most people that come to into bitcoin in the coming years won’t even know there is way to hold it without counterparty.

Will definitely research all of those.

To my understanding from this post and the comments, these are “a level deeper” that a cold wallet like Ledgers, Trezors and Coldcards as they provide leas exposure and are much more basic than the big and advertised companies.
