"The legislation at the Minnesota Capitol would ban online marketplaces and resellers from selling more than one copy of a ticket and from selling tickets before theyโ€™re actually available for sale. It also aims to crack down on resale sites that look like primary sellers and seeks to cut down on the impact of bots."

Nice! But it shouldn't say 'minimum of 1 sat', it should say 'enter what it's worth to you' or something like that. Make them enter an amount but don't tell them what amount that should be. I originally thought it was just an RSVP of 1 sat before realizing you were doing V4V.

Perfect day to be out at the cabin

Why try out another Nostr client when perfection has already been reached with Nostrudel?

Talked with nostr:npub1a6c3jcdj23ptzcuflek8a04f4hc2cdkat95pd6n3r8jjrwyzrw0q43lfrr today about the trickiness of #v4v and how as a user and a creator it might be nice to have a โ€˜suggested valueโ€™ to give to help guide users to an appropriate amount.

Is anyone doing this? Are there #v4v people who would push back on this idea?

The price is always set by the user in #v4v. They're the only ones that know how much value they got out of your product and how that translates into a monetary value. Sometimes that's only 100 sats and sometimes it's 1,000,000 sats.

Once you start suggesting prices, you're essentially putting a maximum price on your product. You're telling them that your product is only worth a certain price when it might be worth a lot more to the user.

Similarly, users who can't afford your suggested price or don't want to pay it will pay you zero rather than something.

nostr:npub12q9x4g8kkw5hj47a0f3e39jlxarfp8h6atasvr7fc8ks0j3f3ctq0870wm I would love to hear your music on Homegrown Hits. Have you considered going DeMu with your music?

Thanks for highlighting my comment. It's not about being a niche community or not being inclusive, but rather about being a place for respectful and interesting conversations.

I've seen plenty of other social networks start the same way and then slowly grow and devolve into places that you want to avoid. It happened with Twitter, it's happening with several Mastodon instances, and I hope it doesn't happen here.

I hope Nostr turns out to be different.
