I don't think humanity is toxic. You can talk to people in person and they are generally polite and respectful. I think social media is different because it tends to award the loudest and angriest with the most attention.

I like Nostr right now because it's friendly and productive, but it's also a very small social network. My worry is that as more people come in, that will be lost and it will devolve the same angry attention-seeking behavior as the other social networks.

Peertube would be a better option

Yeah there's a lot of users getting high on their own supply, unfortunately.

I appreciate the positivity of the users on here and I like to see what cool things people are building. But I know that won't last as all social media eventually devolves into conflict and toxicity.

Nostr is better off being an underground thing. If it becomes mainstream and the normals flood in, it will be as toxic as any other social media platform.

Any plans to support RSS music playlists? It would be great if I could play this in my music app.

They only fix their problems while pretending that they're fixing yours.

At least they're contained within a single tab/window now rather than spawning multiple ones. Makes it easy to close the tab when a page immediately hits me up for my email.

They're still trying to push their scamcoin?

Raspberry Pis aren't great for hosting nodes. Both Umbrel and Start 9 moved to using Intel NUCs for their prebuilts.

I remember feeling like an idiot for buying at the all time high of 18k in 2017. I should've bought more!

Nostr should adopt the Value 4 Value feedback loop from Podcasting 2.0 when using Zaps:

1. Ask people to contribute value back to the content and people they find valuable. People often forget that they can contribute and need to occasionally be reminded.

2. Acknowledge and thank people who send zaps to you. That serves as an additional reminder and encourages more people to do the same.

3. Repeat the process

Zaps are cool but they often feel like an afterthought, like a tip or kudos, rather than an exchange of value (valuable content for monetary value)
