Sometimes a rare southern butterfly, like this one that doesn't belong here, strays hundreds of kilometers to us in Northern Ontario.

I only saw it for a few seconds from a distance, no time to make corrections to the camera settings.

Amazing how a tree can grow straight out of the rock. This picture is so symbolic to me. It speaks volumes to the ones who have grown through tough times yet still manage to become beautiful and successful. Growing towards the clouds as the sky is the limit.

Fortunately while I don't have a ton of land, I can set up some targets at and beyond my comfort zone. So I'm planning on getting a lot of practice before the season opens. I really do not want to take a shot unless I'm certain it's clean. Rather go home empty handed than take an iffy shot.

Also, doing a lot of research and scouting nearby preserves. I'd like to find (or make) a good "A to Z" type of checklist to make sure I don't forget or miss something critical.
