I think religion, cult belief, and cult following are fundamentally hard wired in to our biology. They are ancient tools for group survival.
Being a believer or atheist has little bearing on ones character, morals, or proclivity to war with others groups. Both conditions are how we rationalize our natural tendencies and existence.

This is always the train of thought for those intelligent and highly skilled persuaders and manipulators. Such folks start cults, religions, new sects - and do the same in gov.
Itβs part of human nature to follow such clowns too. Also some will see past this.

I wonder about how remote work would have effected my early career. I get to work from home now, but my habits and approach are informed by over a decade of in-office experience.
I still prefer working with a team, but my introverted self loves being left alone to be productive.
Insurance in the fiat world creates perverse incentives. But insurance is valid survival pattern. Even in nature animals will pool resources for hard times. What does decentralized insurance look like? Can a group of people pool sats and enforce an agreed upon payout policy? Would love to prototype this. #bitcoin
