I launched a CLI-only sticker store!

You can buy stickers via

ssh stickr.shop

God damn it, the correct link is of course:

ssh stickr.shop

Next up: Rewrite the Rust compiler in Go

nostr:npub103m96sra82w4agghew9cdxtzs4s8sl7qsjsvw6h653yml0gjrkzqefd3h5 Hey, do you play PGA 2K25?

I can tell you never shipped something

So I'm going to start my first #software #business (announcement soon) and I am currently pondering what my architecture / tech stack should look like.

Roast my choices:

- Next.js for frontend

- #Go for backend

- docker compose setup

- deployed on #Coolify on a Hetzner VPS

Thinking about dropping Next.js and going all-in on Go.

My latest hobby is to enter “Markus Jürgen” as my name into websites and apps and imagine that some random web developer is going crazy.

Did you know you that you can run #Go 1.24rc1 (or any other version) by just setting an environment variable?

$ GOTOOLCHAIN=go1.24rc1 go version

go: downloading go1.24rc1 (darwin/arm64)

go version go1.24rc1 darwin/arm64

This is supported since Go 1.21 (August 2023).

Anyone running Linux on their M1 (or M2) Mac?

Here to share my journey.

https://asahilinux.org/ with Fedora is working really well, but got some annoyances due to the limited software available for aarch64.

The good things are:

- I learn to compile more things - looking at you Signal and Keybase

- Power efficiency and shared memory without the closed garden

- Fedora seems to be a very good distro (coming from Debian)

- Webcam, speakers, USBC ports just work

The (not so) bad so far:

- will think twice what software worth the hassle and no closed source stuff is available to build

- will need to master some emulators like qemu and Box86/Box64

- The built-in microphone hasn't been reverse-engineered yet

- Fingerprint sensor won't work

#linux #aarch64 #asahi

Is keybase still around?

I just _purged_ Nix from my personal machine.

Still using it on my work laptop for now.

Who knows for how much longer.

I just caught up on the #NixOS “purge” nonsense. What a clusterfuck.

Seriously considering giving up on everything Nix.

I give it a Linus Torvalds out of 10
