That used to be called a âspeedball,â and maybe still is. Whatâs the point of doing that? Can someone educate me?
The Fed got rid of reserve requirements a couple of years ago, but they are still paying interest on reserves.
Further thoughts: With blockchain titles, itâs impossible to transfer property without the ownerâs consent (or the consent of a majority of key holders, if thatâs the design).
However, there are legitimate scenarios where a property has to be transferred without the ownerâs consent. (e.g. divorce judgement, mortgage default)
There are also illegitimate scenarios that governments love. (e.g. non-payment of taxes, asset forfeiture, eminent domain) If governments are going to support blockchain titles, they may insist on backdoors like a copy of the ownerâs private key or a controlling interest in the titleâs signing keys.
If youâre going to do a video on this, Arnold Kling could provide a skeptical voice.

Well, the current system is so bad that buyers need title insurance just in case someone else makes a plausible claim on the property later. So thatâs a reason for blockchain titles.
Thatâs a very voluntaryist point of view.
I think thatâs going to require cooperation from the government to recognize those titles and transfers as valid. Also, what happens if a property owner loses his private key?
I donât know. Do you have any guesses? What companies are invested in or depend on Silvergate?
Or maybe just less certainty and more room for debate in the future?
Love the âscientists sayâ in the NPR tweet.
It looks like the 265 is a 255 Music, but with an AMOLED touch screen and a $50 greater price tag. Garmin hasnât reduced the prices of the 255 series.
Thoughts on the new #Garmin Forerunner 965 and 265 watches, announced today? #running
Is that the Church of Latter Day Saints "All In" podcast, or the gambling "All In" podcast?
This chat with #[0], #[1] and #[2] about the past, present, and future of Nostr today has me hyped for where things are headed. I saw some Nostriches I recognize from around these parts in the comments, so thanks for watching and sharing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pi2JbHWd_BM
This video convinced me to go ahead and join Nostr. Thanks!
Responsible gun owner/parents are the majority. They just donât make he news so we donât hear about them.
Iâm interested in coding content, among many other things. Currently it seems like most conversations on Nostr are about Nostr, Bitcoin, or zapping. Iâm sure that will change as more users arrive.
Iâm sure youâre not the only Bitcoiner who doesnât care about guns. My owning a gun wonât make a difference to the peacefulness of the world, but it would make a big difference to my own life if Iâm ever attacked.
