Only certain lightning wallets support it - wallet of satoshi (WoS) is one of them and I think alby too. Many people use WoS - it will give you a lightning address that has a ‘@‘ in it and looks like an email. Then copy paste that into your nostr client profile what is says lightning address or something like that

Yeah in my attempts to orange pill some people, they expect to just be able to buy bitcoin like they buy a stock. One click and forget about it.
When they realize it needs a bit more, they lose attention.
It’s hilarious to see people asking for the price to go up and down at the same time
Also in fiat you give up responsibility to 3rd party trust and sit back and relax (in ignorance), but in bitcoin you have to take a little more effort to responsibly store your money

I will say that there is occasional spam, and every now and then I block or mute someone, but I haven’t had to do that for a few days now.
I don’t think enough people know about lightning.
I think we should collect some data on lightning vs some speed-related shitcoins to help convert people. I’d also just be curious what the difference in speed is. From my experience, lightning is one of the fastest there is.

Do you think we might all walk around with futuristic hardware wallets in the future, with bitcoin keys, Nostr keys, etc and if it gets lost we just buy a new one, like if you lose your wallet today?
You could have a reward message pop up if it gets lost
And if they are mass produced then it could be cheap to just get a new one
