Oh, and by the way, Snort is open source and you can self host an instance. Umbrel even has a plug and play app. So, unless they cut you off from the internet they can't stop nostr OR zaps.

Damus is not Nostr. Damus is not in control of the Nostr ecosystem or protocol. A major contributor, absolutely! Will may choose to bow the knee and seek to appease apple, and frankly all the talk by folks I've had a lot of respect for about censorship to appease a corrupt corporation is disturbing. Will can't stop zaps. Apple can't stop zaps. He can only stop letting you participate on his app while he plays the game.
Nostr is a protocol. You're free to use your keys on any other client and participate in value for value no matter what features any one client removes or censors. This is why Nostr is great, because there is no one single point of attack. Support freedom, defund tyranny. Get your coins off of the exchange, and get your digital lives off of Apple. In the interum you can use an browser client if you are unhappy with Damus.
If Damus goes away the only people who will disappear are the ones who forget Nostr isn't 1 client, or are too in love with being cucked by a corporation to choose for themselves.
This is not me throwing shade at Will or Damus, this is me saying that nothing is over because Apple is a bunch of greedy, controlling cunts...and I hope he does the right thing for freedom and the protocol, not the right thing for Apple.
Just log into Snort or any other client with your key. Damus is not Nostr. You won't lose anything.
