There is a sliding scale for sure, and the amount needed depends on the situation. Extremely subjective.

And not all violence is wrong or unnecessary either. It depends on how it's applied, what the intent is, and whether the one using it has the restrain to do it correctly.

Yup, game stores host and charge an overhead from the DM, but generally the DM will then charge a little more than that. It's not a TON of money... Maybe you make 15-60 a session depending on the number of people and how much you charge, but still :/
