I sent this to someone who was making an argument for privacy on layer one (Monero). I'm curious to hear anyone else's thoughts on this line of thinking.

One of my more controversial opinions about Bitcoin is that the transparency on layer one is a good thing. Firstly because it allows for a full network audit which can be validated by anyone with a node, but secondly because of the money changer globalist war monger pedophile satan worshipers.. or whatever you wish to call them. Many call them the elites. I don't 🙂

The average individual wants financial privacy in their day to day transactions..which should be rather easy and accessible at small scale. However, if Jeffrey Epstein wants to move billions of dollars for Bill Gates we should all be able to witness that movement, even if it isn't easy to link to those two individuals.

In the long run I think this scenario creates a better world for everyone. The big financial players should play by the same rules as everyone else or we should have the advantage. In the current system it is the opposite. Big money has the secrecy advantage.

Some hardcore libertarian Bitcoiners may not love that opinion. I don't mind. I may have a slightly different view of the global financial situation.
